Session 3 Workbook Sheets

After the group discussion, students should continue working on their financial analyses in their groups and creating their presentations. Volunteers should walk around and take turns checking in with groups and sitting in on their discussions. Sometimes they don’t know what questions to ask or may feel shy asking. Also, volunteers may be able to point out something they hadn’t thought about or offer some expert advice on these financial conclusions they are making.

Instruct the students that by the end of the session they will finalize their recommendations over where to invest Janella’s money and make a brief Google Slides presentation with their

recommendation. Refer students to Google Slides Presentation Template in the Student Workbook to follow as they create their slides. Circulate the room as the students work, and encourage each group to rehearse their presentation. (25-30 minutes)

Group Reminders

Remind groups who do not finish that they may have to meet outside of class to finalize and rehearse. Let them know that there may be school guests in attendance to view their case studies.

Slides

RTSWS will need a copy of their slide presentations. Please have the students email or share their presentations with the RTSWS Program Coordinator for the school. (You can elect to have them email them to you first and then to us. That way, you’ll know who has done so.)

AFTER SESSION 4: Important Activities Before Session 5

1. If there were any articles or aspects of Session 4 you need to finish please do so before Session 5.

2. Study session 4 key terms and the post-assessment review sheet with all key terms from sessions 1 through 4. All students will be taking the post-assessment next session to see how much they’ve learned! Don’t forget we give our prizes for top scores!

3. If you haven’t yet, connect with us on social media! We post current articles, internship and job shadowing opportunities, and even highlight our students and community publicly.
