P BE SO GOOD THEY CAN’T IGNORE YOU inspiration from Headmaster Jason Rogers

A Cottage that became a Campus

In 1985, when Drs. Collett and Conklin

opened the doors of Rundle College for the first

time, twenty-two junior high students walked through those doors of a small four-room school. We called this the “Cottage”.

What a success story, as we are about to embark on opening the doors of our new Primary/Elementary School to complete the final phase of our combined College Campus; with an enrollment of over 1000 students from kindergarten to grade 12, along with our Rundle Academy program.

I hope as Rundle Alumni you take pride in the fact that you were part of this tremendous journey and

growth over the past 30 years. Not only is this a success story regarding growth, but more importantly, the outstanding academic, athletic and fine arts accomplishments that you were all part of achieving. Thanks to you, Rundle College has become one of the premier educational settings in the country.

I hope you will continue to share with us, visit and reconnect as often as you can. Play Safe.

Sincerely,

David Hauk

Dear Rundle Alumni,

This year I chose these two quotes with precision and

purpose, to frame my comments for The Ascent. I believe

they embody our alumni experience for several reasons.

Firstly, as our Rundle Alumni Association grows, it is becoming a local, national and international family

network. We are seeing our alumni spread around the

world and make a difference everywhere they go. In today's day and age of technology, it is increasingly simple to “reduce” the size of our world and stay connected in spite of the distance and time between us. I encourage you to maintain your connections with our family in any way that works best for you - and we promise we will continue to do the same.

Secondly, as you will note in the following pages, our

individual alumni are simply “so good that others cannot

ignore them.” We are fortunate to see our alumni succeed in diverse areas as law, business, the arts, science, medicine, engineering and social justice. Beyond the quantifiable accomplishments, we are extremely proud of the enduring character and perseverance each of our alumni members embodies. Near and far, our members are making a difference and our Rundle Alumni brand is quickly becoming associated with excellence in all fields.

Finally, I opted to select two comedians to frame

these comments because of the overall feeling that is experienced at each of our Rundle Alumni Association

events. If you have attended a golf tournament, a reunion, a homecoming, a social or any other event, you will know that it is a time of great camaraderie, friendship and laughter. I look forward to seeing several of you at events in the coming days.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for your ongoing connection and contributions to our Rundle College community.
