OFFICIAL PROGRAMME Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th October 2014
Welcome
to the inaugural Warhammer Fest here at the Ricoh Arena, the first event of its kind anywhere in the world!
If there’s one thing we’ve learnt over the years, it’s that everyone who collects Games Workshop Miniatures has a different reason for doing so, from collecting their favourite armies, to painting, playing or a combination of all three. We were left with the question of how to create an event that several thousand people could attend and each have an experience unique to them. The answer is Warhammer Fest. We have three floors and six rooms full of things to do and see, from picking up the latest miniatures and books, to hearing about future releases, taking part in demonstrations and tutorials, playing games, and more. You can meet and talk to the creators of our books, miniatures and artwork, whether you simply want to chat with them or see them demonstrate their skills. Don’t panic: where possible we have repeated these activities throughout the day allowing you to tailor your event as much as possible. So, have a look at everything we’ve got planned, and then set about doing as much or as little as you like. With the dazzling array of things on offer, we’re sure you’re in for an exciting, enthralling, fun-filled day. So, all that’s left is for us to say thank you for coming, and enjoy!

Collecting Your Entries
Important Notice
Please be advised that, while we do understand it’s necessary for many customers to bring bags to Games Day, all bags and rucksacks may be searched by Ricoh security staff before admittance to the event is permitted. In order to minimise any delays in entering Games Day & Golden Demon we ask that you carefully consider whether you really need to bring a bag with you. Also please be aware that glass bottles, metal cans and other potentially hazardous objects will be confiscated at the discretion of IA security staff. These can be recovered upon exiting the event at the end of the day. For more details about these and other important notices regarding Games Day & Golden Demon, please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
After 1pm, all entries not in the winning area can be collected. Simply locate your miniature and present your competitor’s receipt to a staff member who will check that the number on your receipt is the same as the number on the entry number card, and will hand you your entry.
And the Winner is...
By 2.45pm the names of the winners will be called out over the PA system and they will be asked to gather by the main stage in the Arena. At 3:30 pm the judges will present the trophies to the winners of the ten Golden Demon categories, the Young Bloods and the Open Competition.
There can be Only One
Just before 4pm, one of the ten Golden Demon winners will become the Slayer Sword winner. After a brief introduction, Alan Merrett will open the all-important envelope and announce the winner of this year’s competition. The winner will then strike the traditional pose by lifting the Slayer Sword in triumph.
