Hints & Tips When Organising a Colour Run
Colour Runs, Colour Dashes or Rainbow Runs, as they are sometimes called, are held over distances of approximately 5K, although they can be over any distance as accuracy is not important as they tend to be non-competitive.
They are becoming increasingly popular and a fun event for all the family to take part in, as well as a great way to help raise vital funds for charities.
So, if you are thinking of staging a Colour Run for the first time and are unsure of how many colour stations to have and how much colour powder to order, we have drawn up a simple step-by-step visual guide with suggestions that will hopefully help you along the way.
However, if you are still unsure or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us - we will be more than happy to help out.
Is the colour powder safe?
Our product is Non-Toxic and Non-Irritant to skin and conforms to EN-71-3 Standards for a safe and fun event.
What if it gets in my eyes?
Just rinse with water and everything will be ok as our powder is non-toxic but for added eye protection we recommend wearing a pair of our sunglasses.
Is the colour powder edible?
Yes it is. It is 100% safe to ingest but we advise you to wear it, not eat it!

Personal clean up operation
To get the colour powder out of hair and off skin it is best to do it whilst it is still dry. Shake it off first then just wash as normal and maybe repeat.

The Great Run Company is one of the UK’s biggest mass participation sports businesses, based in Newcastle and London. Their aim is simple - to inspire the country to participate in events and campaigns. To aid in this, they organise events throughout several locations. Hard Enamel Pin Badges
Also known as cloisonné pin badges they are particularly aimed at the corporate and higher end market.
Method
We make a die of your design, stamp it onto metal and then in-fill with a powdered glass mixture which after it has been fired in a kiln is then polished to give a bright shine and smooth finish.

Where are the pin badges manufactured?
All our custom lapel pin badges are manufactured at our partner factories in China, for the very best quality at effectively wholesale prices.
I have heard that the pin badges can be produced and delivered in 3-4 weeks, is that correct?
Yes they can. Once you have ‘signed-off’ the artwork and approved your design it can take only 3-4 weeks to produce and deliver your pin badges using air freight.
Is there a surcharge for the pin badges to be flown in?
No.

I only have a rough sketch of my pin badge design. Is that OK?
Yes. Simply send us your guidelines with any logos/images (if there are any you want incorporating), and we will design your pin badge for you FREE of Charge
How long will it take for me to receive artwork back from you for approval?
Firstly we will send you a quotation. Once you have accepted our quotation, we will then proceed with your pin badge design which you should normally receive within 3 to 4 working days, or even less.
When I have received my pin badge design back for approval, what if I require any changes?
No problem. We will amend your design until you are completely happy with it!
Will there be any charge for these amendments?
We offer up to 3 opportunities for unlimited amendments at no additional cost. Any changes thereafter may incur a design surcharge of £50.

How to Order Prices
How can I work out the price of my pin badges?
Other than our standard shaped pin badges which have their own price table, simply measure to the longest point of your pin badge and look at that size in the pricing table. If you have any queries or are unsure on anything, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will be only too happy to answer any questions that you might have.
Die Charges
Will I be charged a die charge?
Yes. You will be charged the die charge that reflects the style of custom lapel pin badge that you have chosen.
Will I be charged a die charge for repeat orders?
No. Absolutely not providing that nothing changes at all and the order is placed within 3 years.
What if want just the year changing?
Depending on the design and size of the amendment there would be a small charge to pay. Please contact us and we will give you an exact costing.
Can I change my pin badge design without incurring a new die charge?
Yes, you can keep the same die and simply change the enamel colour to freshen up your design year on year.
