Welcome to our 2023 Ultimate Guide to Standard Medals, Centres & Ribbons

After the uncertainty that Covid-19 brought in 2020, decimating our industry, it was great to see a multitude of fun runs, road races and mass participation events gradually starting to return last year.

January 2023 will also mark 35 years since I cofounded the business in 1988. Little did I imagine that it would have grown into the family business that it has today.

For the last 16 years Running Imp and Events FR have competed against one another as two of the top companies in the industry, but now, with Neil Landry wishing to retire from the industry it made perfect sense for Running Imp to acquire Events FR.

Deluxe Full Colour Heat Transfer Printed Ribbons

All our standard medals (non-bespoke) can come with deluxe full colour double sided eco-friendly heat transfer printed ribbons, the ultimate in medal presentation.

They are available in 2 sizes, 25mm and 38mm wide cut to 34” and can be sold on their own or in conjunction with any of our standard medals (non-bespoke).

Medal Assembly

Both ribbon sizes when purchased in conjunction with non-bespoke medals will come:

• Assembled FREE of Charge with a metal clipon attachment as standard

• On any returned medals we can cut the ribbons off at 5p per medal.

• For medals with a metal bar or loop, ribbons can be sewn onto the medals at 35p per medal.

• Alternatively they can come attached with a Velcro fastening for an additional 15p per medal.

• If excessive pressure is applied to the soft wood Poplar material or to the ribbon clip, this may cause the medal and ribbon hole to snap. Please take care.

• The design clarity and etching tone may differ from each medal.

• The edges of the medal should not have any splinters or create any, however, a splinter may be present in very few cases.

• After laser engraving has been completed, a burnt odour will be present in some cases; this will remain on the finished product.

• In some cases, a small amount of scratching may appear where a clip-on ribbon has been attached.
