It was great to see the resurgence of more fun runs, road races and mass participation events returning last year after Covid-19 decimated our industry in 2020.

Sadly, some events have fallen by the wayside, but with swim meets, triathlons, school sports days and charity fundraisers making a much-welcomed comeback, the industry is getting back to its prepandemic days.

Incredibly, January 2024 will mark 36 years since my father co-founded Running Imp in 1988. Little did he imagine that it would have grown into the market leader in our field that it is today.

However, more importantly, we’re here to help you, and work with you, and give the kind of service that we have always prided ourselves upon, to help make your event a success and memorable for your entrants.

Overdue Accounts

We reserve the right to charge interest at 8% over the Bank of England base rate on all late payments and recover any expenses incurred in the recovery of any debt.

Breakages and Claims

Claims must be received in writing within 24 hours of receipt of goods Always check the contents of your parcel(s) before signing the delivery note or sign Unchecked. We cannot accept responsibility for goods signed ‘in good condition’ if they are later found to be damaged.

Terms of Business - Prices

Whilst every effort will be made to hold prices throughout 2024, any unavoidable increases, due to Brexit or the US$ rate, will be notified at the time of ordering. We reserve the right to review and amend the prices at any time subject to changes in the market pricing.

Both sizes when purchased with non-bespoke medals will come:

• For medals with a metal bar or loop, ribbons can be sewn onto the medals at 35p per medal.

• Alternatively they can come attached with a Velcro fastening for an additional 15p per medal.

• Or they can also be sold loose in lengths at no extra charge.

These 70mm eco-friendly medals are made from a softwood called Poplar plywood. These lightweight eco-friendly medals are fully sustainable and very cost effective.

• A small minority of medals may have imperfections in the wood such as knots and kinks.

• If excessive pressure is applied to the soft wood Poplar material or to the ribbon clip, this may cause the medal and ribbon hole to snap. Please take care.

• The design clarity and etching tone may differ from each medal.

• The edges of the medal should not have any splinters or create any, however, a splinter may be present in very few cases.

• After laser engraving has been completed, a burnt odour will be present in some cases; this will remain on the finished product.
