Fitness Classes ATAC Athletic Training and Conditioning (ATAC) is a high intensity, interval training class with intense cardio exercises in a circuit format. Each week has a different set of exercises set to fun, motivating music. On courts or outside (weather permitting). Barbell Blast This class uses barbells and hand weights to work your entire body. fun choreography to strengthen all of the major muscle groups. All levels are welcome. Body Blast Take your workout to the next level with high intensity interval training. Using a variety of equipment each class, you will burn calories and build strength in a fun, motivating format. All fitness levels are welcome, modifications will be offered.
Box Fit This fun, fast-paced, high energy and noncombat class introduces members to the stations of a boxer’s training regimen. Gloves and hand wraps are available for use or you may bring your own (encouraged). Cardio Kickboxing This isn’t your average cardio kickboxing class. This intense mix of Western and Muay Thai style kickboxing will teach you proper striking techniques while improving your cardio, conditioning, core, flexibility and coordination in a non-combat setting. Gloves, mitts, kick shields and bags will be provided. Group Strength This class offers strength training in a group setting. Weights, barbells, tubing and body weight exercises will be used to create a safe and effective workout. All levels are welcome. Kettlebell A kettlebell is a cast iron weight with a handle at the top. Using this versatile piece of equipment, participants will be led through a variety of exercises to develop full body strength and cardiovascular fitness. All levels are welcome. On the Ball This fun and motivating class focuses on strength, cardio, balance and core training utilizing stability or ballast balls and resistance equipment. All levels are welcome. Seniors of Steel Build strength and increase your balance, endurance, flexibility and bone mass in this class designed specifically for active older adults. Class incorporates light weights and light cardio.
Spin Indoor cycling class for cardio endurance. Instructors use visual imagery and motivational music so each ride is a new adventure. All skill levels welcome. If this is your first time taking a spin class, please arrive 10 minutes before the start of class. Step Step is a fast-paced, fun and high intensity cardio workout. This class involves stepping up and down a rectangular platform with advanced choreography and motivational music. Zip Fit — 30 minutes In 30 minutes, you’ll torch calories in this high intensity interval training class. Each week will be a varied, full body format. All levels are welcome, modifications will be offered. Zumba Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow dance moves for a fun, energizing workout. Routines incorporate interval training (fast and slow rhythms) to help improve cardiovascular health.

Mind and Body Classes Alignment Based Yoga This class focuses on correct alignment of the yoga postures and is appropriate for those new to yoga, as well as experienced yoga practitioners. Variations and modifications of the postures will be offered to suit the needs of all levels so that all participants can work to their own potential. Functionally Fit This class is designed for those members looking for a gentle class to help improve range of motion, strength, and flexibility. This is a low intensity class designed for older adults or those with joint or mobility limitations. Gentle Yoga A calming practice designed for older adults or those new to yoga. Hatha Yoga This class offers a basic introduction to yoga postures. You will move your body slowly and deliberately into different poses that challenge your strength and flexibility, while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness. Pilates A low-impact workout to stretch, strengthen and lengthen the entire body with an emphasis on technique and core muscles. All levels are welcome. Restorative Yoga This practice integrates myofascial massage, gentle movement, breathwork and meditation to calm the nervous system. Find ease of body and peace of mind during this mood-enhancing class. Vinyasa Yoga — NEW DAYS AND TIMES! A fluid, intensive practice that links breath with movement. Recommended for intermediate to advanced levels. .
Adult Fitness Programs SWAT — Strength. Weight Loss. Activity. Teamwork. If you are not able to find the time to fit in your workouts, just 30 minutes twice a week will help you feel accomplished, confident and strong. SWAT class will keep you on track by focusing on weight loss and teamwork through specialized strength training. 4-week session. Weekly Workshop Series — NEW Be on the lookout this winter for one day specialty workshops hosted by our personal trainers and instructors. Workshop offerings will include advanced kettlebell, kickboxing mechanics, olympic bar intro and advanced moves, squat correction, mobility/flexibility, yoga specialites and more. Pre-teen and Teen Fitness Programs Fit Club Orientation Learn the fundamentals of fitness, exercise safety and fitness center rules and etiquette. Teen Strength and Fitness This class is designed as a beginner course into weight and strength training for teens ages 11 to 16. Under the guidance of a certified personal trainer, teens will learn the proper techniques to strength training to ensure both safety and effectiveness. The trainer will guide participants through a variation of light to moderate weight, dumbbell, machine, plyometric and body weight exercises. 4-week sessions. Private Sports Training This program gives athletes or enthusiasts the opportunity to train in a one-on-one sports training session with a certified Healthplex personal trainer. Training sessions are available for sport-specific performance, overall fitness, resistance training, cardiovascular endurance and speed and agility. Age: 8 to 16

Personal Training There is no better way to get in shape than to work with your own personal fitness trainer. At Rush Copley Healthplex, our degreed and certified personal trainers will work closely with you to customize an exercise program to maximize your efforts in reaching your own specific fitness goals. With their one-on-one attention and guidance, you’ll benefit from the added motivation you may not otherwise have working out on your own. Specialties include: strength training, flexibility training, assisted stretching, core conditioning and weight management. We also offer training for other health specific needs such as post rehabilitation, post-cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation, pre-natal or post-natal, Parkinson’s disease and chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension and fibromyalgia. How to Get Started Choose your personal trainer, or ask us to help select one for you based on your goals and their areas of expertise. After you purchase your training package, we will contact you to schedule your first meeting. Single sessions or packages are available. If you wish to work with a trainer weekly, we offer a monthly subscription option. Once weekly includes four total sessions per month. Twice weekly includes eight total sessions per month. Health Specialty Programs Movement Disorders Program For people living with a movement disorder, exercise and physical activity can help improve symptoms and mental well-being. At Rush Copley Healthplex, we offer a variety of free classes to help improve strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness for those who are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and other movement disorders.

This safe and engaging progressive fitness program will challenge, motivate and inspire you. Aqua Move Water provides support to those with weak muscles for reassured balance and improved posture as well as greater mobility. The resistance the water provides helps improve muscle strength and endurance as well as body awareness. Dance for Movement Disorders Dance is a fun and effective way to work on balance, sequencing, core, speed of movement and voice projection. Mondays • 1 to 1:45 p.m.
Delay the Disease This exercise class is designed specifically to help slow the progression of movement disorders symptoms. Each class is designed to improve balance, strength, stability and cardiovascular fitness. Friday • 12 to 12:45 p.m. Rock Steady Boxing Affiliated with Rock Steady Boxing, a nonprofit that was created to help people with Parkinson’s
Fit 4 Life-Cardiac Rehab Fit 4 Life, Rush Copley’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, is for eligible participants who have recently completed Phase 2 or 3 cardiac rehab, and are ready to continue their exercise program. Physician approval is required. Term: six-month membership with option to join as an all-access member after the initial term. $28/month for 6 months Return to Activity Program Return to Activity Programs are specialized training programs available to patients following the completion of treatment and therapy with Rush Copley’s Hand and Upper Extremity Program. Participants will be guided by a personal trainer through safe and effective exercises, to help regain strength, mobility and range of motion required for daily and recreational activities. A referral from a Castle Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine physician is required. 6-week program includes 10 sessions for $350.

Massage Therapy
At Rush Copley Healthplex, we know that regular massage and body work can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase flexibility, reduce muscle fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscle tissue, improve posture and reduce blood pressure. It also promotes better sleep, improves concentration, reduces anxiety and creates an overall sense of well-being. All massages are performed by licensed massage therapists. Types of Massage Remedial Specific massage to address tissue pathologies and improve range of motion. It supports healing and reduces nerve pain. Kids Programs It is a lot easier to focus on your workout when your mind isn’t worrying about your little ones. Kids Active Club is a 5,200-square-foot childcare area within Rush Copley Healthplex that is available for our members with children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Our daily activities keep things fun, fresh and exciting for your child so you can work out, swim or just relax. Enclosed within Kids Active Club, we offer an Infant Care room, a climbing wall, a “Beam” interactive floor activity, scooters, games, basketball hoops and much more!
Kids Active Club For ages 3 to 12 years Our unique program is broken down by age, allowing us to provide age-appropriate activities that are overseen by our energetic and active childcare associates. Our goal is to not only keep your child active while you are working out, but to promote a positive fitness experience for all children enrolled in our program. Club Climb and Club Swim are also available during the noted hours on the program schedule. Infant Care Room For ages 6 weeks to 35 months 2-hour limit per day Our bright and engaging infant/toddler room has colorful gym mats with foam blocks and other educational toys as well as a multi-seat table, crib, changing table, swings and more. The Infant Room is separate from the Kids Active Club play area so your little one is safe and the focus of our caring and nurturing staff. Climbing Wall Open Climb For ages 5 and up Climb our two-story rock wall with our certified belayers. You will learn unique skills designed to prepare you for this physical, mental and emotional challenge. H2O Combo This complete cardiovascular workout will challenge the heart, sculpt the body and burn calories. Wave Circuit This water class combines cardio intervals with aquatic resistance training. Youth (6 to 13 years) Youth Level 1 Students will explore the water and learn to be comfortable in aquatic environments. They will learn front and back floats, glides and proper air control. Youth Level 2 Students will perfect their front and back glides and add arm paddles and kicks with the glides. They will learn to swim 10 yards with rolling for air when needed. Back crawl and treading water will be introduced. Prerequisite: Submerge completely and blow bubbles. Float and glide on front and back by themselves. Youth Level 3 Students will coordinate the front and back crawl strokes and will learn the elementary backstroke and treading water. Safety skills will be reinforced. Prerequisite: Swim 10 yards on front rolling to back for air when needed. Swim 10 yards on back using arms and legs to propel. Youth Level 4 Students will build and improve on the front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke. They will be introduced to the breast stroke and side stroke and turns at the wall. Prerequisite: Swim front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke for 25 yards each and tread water for 30 seconds. Youth Level 5 Students will refine and improve endurance in the front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke and elementary backstroke. They will learn the butterfly stroke and flip turns. Prerequisite: Swim 50 yards of front crawl, back crawl and elementary backstroke, 25 yards of breaststroke and sidestroke and tread water for 2 minutes. Junior Stroke (6 to 13 years) Students will continue to refine all strokes to perform with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness. They will learn the fundamentals of personal water safety. This class is intended to help students develop an interest in lifelong fitness and help them prepare for advanced aquatic activities such as competitive

This class is perfect for the young swimmer who would like to improve strength and endurance and has an overall love for swimming.
