to the 2012 St. Tammany Home Builders Association’s Parade of Homes
W
elcome! The St. Tammany Home Builders Association is proud to present its 2012 Parade of Homes. While the past few years have been challenging for us all, we have been hard at work doing our best to restart the economic engine that housing provides for the citizens of southeastern Louisiana. We feel that our offering this year, which is comprised of 25 homes throughout the parish, demonstrates different architectural styles, new and exciting technologies as well as differing techniques of building. We are confident that whether you are in the market for a new home or just searching for ideas to update you existing home you will find something that suits your desires. As for us, the St. Tammany Home Builders Association is a professional organization representing the residential housing industry, serving our members and the community since 1977. We have dedicated ourselves to being the voice of the residential housing industry, enhancing the climate and protecting the business interests of the membership, promoting quality, affordable housing, educating members and the public as to industry business and association goals, promoting ethical and professional standards for the industry, and being a responsible citizen through active community involvement. One of our projects which demonstrates our dedication to community involvement can be seen in our 2012 “Raising the Roof for Charity” Raffle House which this year doubles as the Parade of Homes Information Center. Please stop by and take a look at this property (and hopefully buy a ticket) which will be raffled off on June 2nd. Proceeds from the event will benefit several local charities. To date this event had put over $4 million dollars back in the hands of local charitable organization. We invite you to tour each of our homes and talk with the builders and their representatives. Raising the Roof for Charity Raffle House

ears ago the Board of Directors of the St. Tammany Home Builders Association (STHBA) decided they wanted a way to give back to the community that provided them with their livelihood. From that idea, the “Raising the Roof for Charity” Raffle House was born. In 1994, the first ever Raffle House (as it is often called) was built in St. Tammany Parish. After all the expenses of the project were paid, the remaining funds were divided among predetermined local charities. Since the inception of the Raffle House, using this model, the STHBA has donated an astounding $4.25 million to local charities. Almost every year since then, members of the St. Tammany Home Builders Association pool their time and talents to build a home of exceptional quality. elcome to the 2012 St. Tammany Parish Home Builders Association Parade of Homes. The Parade of Homes is one of the most important events we organize all year for our members. It provides them an opportunity to showcase their wares, and in this 33rd year of the Parade we feel like we have really gotten it right. Be sure to check out our website for the Parade, as well as the new smartphone app.
Mission Statement:
Each and every one of the 25 homes entered in the Parade this year was constructed with pride by one of our Builder members. Don’t miss the chance to visit all of the houses and see what our Builders have to offer. The homes are located at all corners of the Parish and feature new and innovative ideas at all different price levels and in varying architectural styles. Whether you are looking for a new home, a Builder, or just ideas, I trust that you will find everything you need in our Parade.
