Fearless End. Interview with Camilo.

Hi this is Jay with INSIDE THE DARKNESS in Bogota,Colombia… Today I am talking to Camilo from FEARLESS END ... a Black/Thrash band from Cali, Colombia…

1) Tell us about Fearless End? When and where was the band formed?

First of all, thanks for this interview, we really appreciate it, and hails to all your profane readers on the other side of the world. Fearless End is a Metal Band located in Cali - Colombia - South America, we are four gentlemen in the band, two guitars, drums and bass/ vocals. We are reaching a sound you can find in classic metal bands from the 90’s, with new elements that help us to integrate in our music, black metal, thrash metal, death metal and heavy metal in a unique, technical, solid and strong sound.

2) Tell us about your self-titled debut album, Fearless End...

Fearless End album was recorded in a live session back in 2019, we are proud of the sound we accomplished in this recording, this demo debut was released in a professional deluxe CD format, and we have had good feedback from Metalheads, especially in our country and we had some reviews from people from other countries like Peru, Panama, Chile, Paraguay and Portugal.

3) You have a unique black/ thrash/punk sound which you execute perfectly... what bands influenced you as a kid?

Thanks for your words, we are deeply influenced by classic metal bands like Emperor, Dissection, Bathory, Death, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica (Early Metallica albums only of course) and Manowar.

4) Where does the inspiration for your lyrics come from...tell us about a couple of your songs...

It is really interesting, the inspiration comes from the usual life we are living. We work a lot in our daily jobs and also we see many different kinds of people. We see greed in many ways, also we see some kindness, as well we see rage and hatred. Some of our lyrics come from this kind of thing we experience every day. On the other hand, we admire legends about warriors and brave people who inspire us to reach strength and courage in our lives as well with our band. We are always giving the best we can. Also, we see many tragedies, sadness, and loneliness. Some of our lyrics can come from that kind of feeling. We try to put in our songs all those sensations and feelings. For example our song, Consumed by Darkness, we think we did a perfect match between music, feelings and lyrics, you can find this song on almost all digital platforms:

5) What are your plans for the future?

Next month we’ve got our first live show after the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert will be performed here in Cali, and we expect to play in other Colombian cities like Medellin and Bogota this year, we are also working on our first full length album to be released this year too.

6) Tell us about the metal scene in Cali... Recommend some bands for our readers...

We have an exclusive and a strong metal scene here, you would be surprised of how many metal bands we got here. I can recommend everyone to search and listen to the bands Nameless, and Nazgul, who will be playing with us this next august show. Together we Fight… Together we die… Fearless End !!
