1. Hello and welcome to Inside the Darkness. and even in northern Italy. In

Hello and thank you for having us.

2. Can you tell our readers a bit about your history, please?

We are a Swiss Black Metal band from Lugano since 2012. In the same year we published our first full-length entitled “Seeds of Black Dawn”. In the successive years we worked on making ourselves known by playing live across Switzerland and even in northern Italy. In 2019 we published our second full-length entitled “Bloodline” with a new line-up, refined lyrics and topics.

3. Who are the members of Forsaken Legion?

Krasta - vocals and guitar. Tifeo - guitar. A. - bass. Warmaster Kron - drums.

4. What bands did you like growing up?

We come from different early music backgrounds, but when it comes to black metal we are all inspired by the great Scandinavian classics like Immortal, Tsjuder and Dissection.

5. Why was there such a big gap between your first two albums?

Between 2014 and 2016 we had an important change in our line-up since our first vocalist and our first drummer parted ways with us. We spent those years resizing our line-up while working on Bloodline.

6. What are your lyrics about?

Our lyrics are inspired by some of the contemporary philosophy currents such as nihilism and existentialism. Our goal is to offer a personal interpretation of our aggressive and powerful narratives with hermetic lyrics.

7. Why do you think some Black Metal bands refuse to play live?

We don’t speak for every black metal artist, but we can guess that in our changing times there are less opportunities (especially in smaller countries) for some bands to play live. And this may be a convenient solution if there isn’t a solid audience.

8. Can Black Metal live forever without support from magazines?

This question would have been different if it was asked in the ‘90s. We live in a connected world; everyone may discover new artists just by randomly scrolling music online. But after all, magazines are still a viable source of reviews and discoveries.

9. What can fans expect from your new album?

We are working on a mighty and fiery third album.

10. Do you have a message for our readers?

Stay tuned, something great is coming forth.
