Rigging and Hoisting Safety
This two-day course gives you the opportunity to discuss the workings of your treatment system with one of the experts in the field! The course focuses on practical applications to help you better understand how the activated sludge process works, with bulking and foaming receiving particular attention. The afternoon of the second day offers a unique hands-on opportunity that will allow you to directly apply the information presented to your work and facility. Using microscopes, you will examine and evaluate samples from your own treatment plant (and those from your classmates’ facilities as well) and leave with a better understanding of methods of troubleshooting and possible process improvements. ** REMINDER ** PLEASE BRING A MIXED LIQUOR SAMPLE TO CLASS ON JUNE 16th

Does what folks do in a water or wastewater lab seem like a bit of a mystery to you? Here is your chance to get some of the details in coordination with a half-day handson experience in a NJDEP certified testing laboratory. The morning session of the program will present regulatory and sampling information and in the afternoon, attendees will participate in sampling and analysis exercises using real world samples (please feel free to bring your own!). A great opportunity to broaden your operational knowledge!
The use of proper equipment and correct load attachment can mean the difference between a successful lift and a deadly accident! If you use cranes and/or jib hoists, this full-day class is for you. Better preparation means a safer and more efficient workplace operation for all. Topics will include:
