I know I’m a little bias, but I believe that one of the most important things you can do when planning your wedding is deciding on a photographer. With so many options out there I am honoured that you have considered me to document your day. I hope this guide give you a small insight into how I like to approach a wedding. I believe in doing so much more than simply showing up and taking pictures. I believe that its the months leading up to your wedding that can sometimes be just as wonderful as the day itself. I am passionate about helping you plan a day that runs smoothly, is captured excellently and most of all is enjoyed throughly. My style of photography is grounded in trust and knowing my clients personally. I believe that the connection I have with my clients is one of the most important factors in creating beautiful and timeless images. I try and make the photoshoot as organic as possible. It is really important to me that you have a memorable and fun time during this part of your day. I position you in beautifully lit environments and give you direction. From there its all about capturing your connection and natural moments.
ENGAGEMENT ENGAGEMENT SHOOT $350 with a wedding booking, $300 during the off peak season (June - October) • 1 hour engagement shoot with a minimum of 60 high resolution images delivered via online gallery. GUEST BOOK $400 • 30 page (15 spread) 8” x 12” guest book for your wedding with images from engagement shoot + blank pages for guest signing and messages. My husband and I just loved our engagement shoot with Ruth. Alan was very uncomfortable with having his photo taken and was pretty unhappy with the whole idea, but Ruth made us feel so comfortable and by the end of it he was actually enjoying it! By the time the wedding came he was well aware what he needed to do! We love how she captured us as we are together but also what makes us so different from each other.
Every Wedding is different. Though these FAQ might answer some of the big questions I always approach things with flexibility and reason .If you have any other questions, just ask! Can we meet before booking? Yes! I’ve always found it much more helpful to meet in person or via Skype to tackle questions and answers. Let’s try for coffee if you’re in the Waikato Area. If that isn’t possible we can touch base via Skype or phone. What sort of support can we expect from you as our Photographer? I will keep in touch throughout your engagement period and support you with planning your wedding day however you require. Once you’ve booked I supply a wedding guide with detailed information on how to construct your timeline, family photo list, awesome vendors and a bunch of other useful information….. I am always just a phone call or email away if you would like to touch base or run something by me! Do you have any client reviews? Definitely! Check out the reviews on my facebook page here or some other kind words from my past clients here. How many photos will we recieve and how are these delivered? This really does depend on the number of guests, activities throughout the day, and a variety of other factors! However, I will generally deliver 100 photographs per hour. So from 8 hours of photography coverage you will receive between 700- 900 photographs. These will be delivered via online gallery and a beautiful USB drive.
What if I hate having my photograph taken? I will try to be as unobtrusive as possible so you barely notice my presence. I will coach you with a number of tools, tips and tricks to ensure you look fabulous and have a fun day. My goal is that you feel comfortable enough to forget I am there so that you fall into the presence of being together and bonding for a fun and memorable experience. I also work regularly with two other local photographer’s who are awesome at what they do! What do you need from us? I have several questionares I will send you so I know what your priorities and how to ensure your day and photographs are a success. You are most welcome to choose your photo shoot locations, or if you are stuck for location ideas I am happy to help!
We asked for a timeless, classic feel and an album that presented the entire day as a story, and we couldn’t be happier with the output. Our beautifully printed, leather-covered album is one of our prize possessions. Ruth is an absolute professional, and we cannot rate her more highly. On the day: • 2 Photographers covering up to 8 hours: You choose exactly when you would like your coverage to start and finish. However, usually coverage begins with the both the bride and the groom pre ceremony and concludes with the initial stages of the reception. • Travel expenses up to 50km. See mileage costs for additional travel on page 17. After the Wedding :
• Each image is edited to perfection! This includes colour and contrast adjustments, cropping as well as some black and white options. • All high and web resolution files delivered via online pixieset gallery - great for easy sharing with family and friends • All high resolution delivered in wooden USB gift package. • Image archiving for a minimum of two years. • 40 page (20 spread) Layflat Momento Book Album Albums are uniquely designed to tell your wedding story. Your album will showcase a minimum of 80 images chosen by you that will be printed to the highest quality. Each book has an embossesed cover with your names on it and is hand bound. You will recieve the book in a protective carry case to ensure your book is kept safe and lasts for generations! The most nerve racking thing before our wedding was the prospect of having our photos taken. We love photography, & had a hopeful vision. We wanted special memories that would last a lifetime. We needn’t have worried! Before the day we met Ruth in a cafe and discussed our various ideas & locations. Ruth & her second shooter Dave were ever the professionals. Ruth made it so easy to get the balance between our ideas and her style, resulting in a collection of very special photos. We loved the combination of documentary style and more formal photos. Ruth captured the magic, intimacy & emotion that was our day. She was always keen to try out our ideas that we requested during the day and we thought her ideas were fantastic. Ruth is also fantastic & letting you know how to ‘pose’ to get the best photos and so you don’t look like you are posing!!! We’ve heard that the trick to being a great wedding photographer is that your clients don’t notice you. Well that’s exactly what happened 5 minutes after starting the photo shoot!
