Natural form of bamboo Bamboo start as bamboo shots that can fairly quickly to be mature (approximately in 5-7 years). Plyboo bamboo are made with 100% Moso bamboo. They sustainably harvest the bamboo forrest, thus, providing them with FSC approval.

a. Transportation Despite the fast maturity rate of bamboo, Moso bamboo mostly grown in China. Thus, it is require additional energy to transporte it. Bamboo usually transport with fright ship which is more sustainable than other transportation services.

b. Process The next step is actual process called carbonizing to remove moisture and add color for bamboo. This process require a lot of energy because of the heat. Some of the bamboo also need to be glued together and Plyboo company use non-urea and low formaldehyde adhesive.
