Greece Greece is a beautiful country. It is situated in the southeastern part of Europe. It borders with Albania, F.Y.R.O.M., Bulgaria and Turkey.
Greece Geographically, it is made up of nine regions: Epirus, Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, Central Greece, Peloponnese, Crete, the Ionian islands and the Aegean islands. Greece has 52 prefectures.
Greece Greece is a mountainous country but with green plains, hills, rivers and lakes. There are a lot of forests too. But Greece is most famous for its islands. There are more than 2000 islands in Greece.

Greece The population of Greece is about 11 million. About 5 million people live in Athens, its capital. Athens has the Acropolis and almost three thousand years of history. Greece has got a lot of museums, historical landscapes and a very beautiful language. The people in Greece are very hospitable and friendly.
Our village, Fourka Fourka is situated in the north of Greece, in the first peninsula of Halkidiki. It is very close to the second largest city in Greece, Thessaloniki. About 530 people live in Fourka and 673 in Fourka Beach. Fourka was probably founded in the 16th century and people from Fourka fought in the Greek Revolution in 1821. It is a calm village among green mountains and beautiful beaches. In the summer, tourists from many countries come to Fourka.

Our village, Kassandrino Kassandrino is a very small and beautiful village with a lot of trees. Almost two hundred people live in this village. The people are talkative and friendly.
