100th Marathon Supports Nelson’s Journey Vinnie Purdy from Cromer is about to embark on his 100th marathon.
Vinnie says ‘I first started running in 2001 to lose some weight - I was 4 or 5 stone heavier when at school and my brother and his mates used to call me “Eclipse. I didn't do or enjoy any form of sport. I ran my first marathon in 2002 in London and, like most people, said never again. But soon forgot and did another one!
On 8 June I will be running my 100th official marathon, which will be a trail marathon of 30 miles organised by the LDWA (Long Distance Walk Association) at Sheringham called the "Poppy Line Marathon", normally 26 miles but this year, to celebrate the 30th year of the event, the course will be extended to 30 miles taking in Felbrigg Park, Holt Country Park, Sheringham Park and the cliff tops from Weybourne to Sheringham. I am hoping that some fellow runners from my local running club the North Norfolk Beach Runners will be joining me on the day - I know quite a few have signed up already. I still have number 99 to go as well which is going to be the "Dukeries 40" a 40 mile ultra in and around Sherwood Forest, on11May - this will be my 9th marathon this year. Continued on page 5...

I have run marathons up and down the country, in London, Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Bungay, Halstead, Northumberland , Portsmouth and even around a 400mtr athletics track in Crawley. I have also run some crazy long distance races such as Caesers Camp, an off road 100mile race of 10x10 mile laps on army training land in Hampshir, taking in the equivalent height of three Ben Nevis's. The longest race I have done is the Grand Union Canal race, a 145 mile nonstop race from Birmingham to London along the canal towpath. The most I have done in a year was 21 in 2011 and my quickest time was at London 2013 when I managed to finish in 3 hours 15 mins and 26 seconds.
Once I have completed the marathon on 8 June, I will be able to wear the club colours of the 100 Marathon Club (an official UK running club dedicated to people who have run 100 official marathons or ultras (ultras only count as one, no matter how many miles).
I have chosen to use this to also raise some money for Nelson’s Journey who have recently helped members of my extended family with their excellent support. Nelson's Journey is a registered charity providing a service for children and young people aged 0-17 years inclusive, living in Norfolk, who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life such as a parent or sibling. They aim to improve the emotional wellbeing of bereaved children by: increasing their confidence and self belief, providing education about the causes of death and enabling families to talk openly about their bereavement. Based in Norwich, they were founded in 1997, since which time they have helped hundreds of children.

Farewell Dave & Louise
It is with some sadness that we must announce The Jetty Café will be changing hands. We wouldn’t have missed the last two and a half years for the world. However, it feels like the right time for a change, and we are looking forward to moving on and pursuing new challenges.
Thank you to all our supporters, casual and regular. Without you, there’d have been no plaudits, no accolades, no popularity transmitted by word of mouth. We have thoroughly enjoyed being able to build ties with so many of you, here in the Cromer community and beyond. Indeed, we have made friendships while running the café that we will carry with us well into the future.
We would like to say a huge ‘Thank you!’ to our regular suppliers, without whom we simply could not have succeeded as we did. Major thanks to Icarus Hines, Cromer Farm Shop, Brays Cottage, NVCS, Dudley’s Bakery and Davies’ Fish Shop.
And to all the other great cafés and restaurants in Cromer, thank you too, for making sure we always kept our standards high. We still feel, as we have always felt, that the friendly competition was good for us, and good for Cromer.
We wish the new owners every success. They are adamant that they will be making very few changes to the way the café operates. Even the loyalty card scheme will be continuing uninterrupted. The lovely Esme and Hayley who have worked so hard with us and made the café a special place to visit will be staying to work with the new café team.
We urge you to give the new owners your support, and keep visiting the Jetty Café. We certainly shall. Perhaps we may see you there.

Chairman Tony Shipp said “Art Week is one of the longest running events in the Carnival calendar. It was already up and running when Cromer Voluntary Entertainments Organisation took Carnival on back in the early 1970s. We have continued to try and make it a shop window for local art groups and artists both new and established an over the years we have also seen the addition of a growing number of excellent quality craft stalls. It also has the writers from the local area. We meet every second Thurs to share our writing, inspire one another and offer constructive criticism. We have re-opened for new members. News from the White Horse Overstrand with Head Chef Nathan Boon
We have had a very busy spring and are looking forward to a great summer of sunshine and great food. We are planing our new menus and wine list so that we can ring the changes and follow our policy of only serving fresh produce from our local suppliers.
The White Horse is now the home for Overstrand Together the new funding raising group set up earlier this year to raise funds for the village as well as creating a number of fun events that we hope everyone will support. One of the already planned events is the White Horse Car Wash on Saturday 12th July 8am - 2pm. It’s just £5 per car with all the money raised going to Overstrand Together. And while you wait for your car to be washed you can enjoy a tasty bacon roll or slice of cake served with tea or coffee. The day is always great fun with villagers and locals all gathering to have their cars washed and if the weather is fine sitting together chatting while watching the volunteer car washers work on their vehicles.
Nathan Boon’s Recipe for Lemon Souffle
Ingredients Knob of Butter 50gm Caster Sugar, plus extra for coating 2 Egg Yolks and 4 Medium Egg Whites 8 Tablespoons ready made Custard Finely grated Zest and Juice of two Lemons Icing Sugar for dusting Enough for four 4” souffle ramekins. Top tip: Use old cups if you haven’t got ramekins.
Method Heat the oven to 220oC. Grease the ramekins with butter, then a layer of caster sugar to the top of the ramekins. Whisk the eggs whites and sugar until soft peaks appear. The tips of the peaks should flip over not stand up. Mix the custard with the lemon zest, juice, and egg yolk. Fold the egg whites into the custard mix little by little. Place the mixture in the ramekins, filling just below the rim and bake for 9-10 mins. Remove from oven and dust with icing sugar. Great served with strawberry jam or a spring fruit compote.

Stay On Board at the Ship Inn It's taken the owner of the Ship Inn at Mundesley less than a year to return the Ship to its historic roots. Since taking over in April last year, the almost derelict rooms, not used for the last 15 to 20 years, which once housed holiday makers or weary travellers, have been transformed into modern guest rooms.
The Ship Inn can boast of being one of the oldest Inns in Norfolk, with well over 200 years of history trading as a pub or hotel or combination of both and of course its seaside location has always made it a popular venue for visitors looking for a holiday beside the sea.
Now the excellent restaurant, catered for by head chef Aiden and his staff, can handle 200

The Sheringham Players go “ON THE RAZZLE”
To celebrate their 50th anniversary The Sheringham players will stage Tom Stoppard’s masterpiece ’ON THE RAZZLE’ directed by June Cooper assisted by Julian High (both founder members of The Sheringham Players).
June Cooper together with other young, enthusiastic actors (including Julian) formed The Sheringham Players in 1964 with a production of Noel Coward’s ‘Blythe Spirit’. Little did they realise that 50 years on they would still be producing plays. Their aim has always been to entertain local audiences and visitors whose loyal support has ensured their survival.
‘ON THE RAZZLE’ – a prime example of Tom Stoppard’s mastery of farce and language consists of two hours of slapstick, shenanigans, mistaken identities, misdirected orders, malapropisms, double entendres and romantic complications. Set in Vienna in the 1880s and packed full of laughter it promises to be an unmissable production.
The Sheringham Players invites you to join in their celebration of 50 years of theatre between the 11th and 14th June at 7.30pm at Sheringham Little Theatre.
Tickets are now on sale at £10 (to include a special souvenir programme) and are selling fast. To book ring the box office at Sheringham Little Theatre on 01263 822347 or book online at www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com
Cromer and Sheringham Probus Club
At the May meeting last year, we invited ladies as guests to one of our speaker lunches for the first time and it proved to be very popular. We did it again this year and it was another success.
Four Beeston Hall School boys go Barefoot for the day to raise awareness of the plight of millions of children who have no shoes to wear
On Tuesday 29 April four Beeston Hall School pupils decided to go without wearing shoes at school for the whole day to help support ‘One Day Without Shoes’.
The four Year 6 boys Dougie, Anamu, Ned and Bertie, read about how millions of children around the world live in poverty and don’t own a single pair of shoes. Many suffer from diseases that could easily be prevented by wearing shoes. For example, in Ethiopia and at least 14 other countries, more than four million people suffer from a painful disease called podoconisis. This disease causes extreme swelling of the feet and legs and is caused by an irritant in the soil.
The boys joined people worldwide who went without shoes to highlight the important issue of children who are growing up without a single pair of shoes to wear.
Every year, One Day Without Shoes calls on people to join them in taking off their shoes for a day to raise awareness of the issues faced by those who don’t own a simple pair of shoes.
At the end of their day without shoes the boys were very relieved that they are lucky enough to be able to wear shoes.
‘We had to be very careful about where we walked and our feet were really cold by the end of the day’, explained Dougie.
A total attendance of 50 members and guests enjoyed the three course lunch at the Links Hotel in West Runton. This was followed by a thoroughly entertaining performance by Greg Powles, who gave us a marvellously energetic account of some of his experiences behind the scenes in cinema, theatre and radio broadcasting. There were some digressions and his one-man Norfolk version of Romeo and Juliet was a particular joy to witness.
Our next meeting on 3 June will not feature a speaker, as lunch will be followed by the AGM. The usual monthly meetings will resume from the first Tuesday of July along with the new programme of talks.
The club is open to gentlemen who are retired or nearly so. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact Dave Vickery on 01263 824306 for more information.

Cromer Pier and Pavilion Theatre Temporary Box Office
Openwide Coastal have taken delivery of a smart new temporary Box Office while the repair work continues on Cromer Pier after the storm surge last December. Councillor Glyn Williams Cabinet Member responsible for Leisure and Cultural Services officially opened the temporary office on Saturday 3 May.
Also on hand to help celebrate the opening were members of the Cromer and Sheringham Operatic and Dramatic Society (CSODS) whose soon to open run of Oliver will be one of the first to benefit from the new Box Office. Marlene’s School of Dance were also represented by children from the various Saturday classes, some of whom will be hoping to perform in this year’s Cromer Pier Show when it opens for the summer run on 21 June. This year’s show has an all new cast and promises to return to the more traditional routes of Seaside Special bringing plenty of music comedy, song and dance and of course the first half finale with children from Marlene’s School of Dance.
To help the celebration along members of the Operatic Society brought along a cake to share with those attending the opening. Ruth Elliott, one of the publicity team from CSODS said ‘It’s wonderful to have the Box Office back at the land end of the pier. Our tickets sales are doing extraordinarily well and having the box
office at this location will make booking tickets much easier for everyone. We have had a very long and happy relationship with Pavilion Theatre and look forward to continuing that relationship long into the future. Our first show at the theatre was in 1952, we then missed two years because of the Great Storm of 1953 so this occasion in our 100th year of the Society makes this occasion rather special’.
Commenting on the Box Office, Councillor Glyn Williams said ‘The Property team at NNDC is hoping to have the repair works to the shop, office and restaurant area completed before the schools break up for the main summer season."
There was more good news for staff members of the Cromer Pier this month when they received a Commendation award from the Mayor and members of Cromer Town Council. The award was presented in recognition of the valued and outstanding contribution to the community of Cromer in getting the Pier and Pavilion Theatre up and running so quickly after the December storm surge so that

Rebecca Wass General Manager of Cromer Pier said ‘I am delighted to have received this award on behalf of all the staff that got stuck in and got the pier open so quickly, it was and still is our mantra that ‘the show must go on’ whatever the problems’.
The temporary Box Office will be open daily from 10am -6pm with extended hours from the opening of the Cromer Pier Show 21 June – 20 September.

North Walsham and District Branch of Cats Protection
When cats come into care we hope that they will soon find new homes but unfortunately this is not always the case. Some cannot be put up for adoption straight away for various reasons. This may be because they have not been socialised properly before they come into care or they may have a health issue which needs to be resolved before they go on our website. Cats like Smudge, a lovely grey and white boy. He came into care with companion Mitzy as, when his owner split with her partner, she left the cats behind. They had been fed and had shelter but were not wanted and, when they arrived after a year without any loving care, Smudge in particular was a very stressed cat. Although the older of the two cats, Mitzy soon settled and left us for a new home some time ago, Smudge took longer to learn to trust his fosterer but finally was ready to receive a thorough examination at the vets where it was discovered he needed a dental as his teeth and gums needed attention. As his fosterer volunteers at his vets she was able to be there when Smudge had his operation and said his mouth was in an awful state. She cannot believe the difference this has made as he is now so much friendlier and it is obvious that Smudge is now a much happier cat. Because we are happy that he is ready for a new home, we will be putting him on our website so that people can see what a handsome lad he is and hopefully he will soon find a loving new home.
Other cats tend to remain with us longer than normal, although it is not
It had been a bad week, So I asked God why he hadn't answered my prayers. There was silence. I asked again why he hadn't answered my prayers. And silence again. So I asked again, louder this time. And the silence was so loud I could hear the Wind rustling in the trees outside. Then, as clear as a mountain stream, Warm as a woollen blanket, a voice. ' I give you what you need, not always what you ask for'
Chris Hargest
always obvious why they get overlooked. Working with the cats, we tend to judge them by their temperament and character rather than the colour or length of their coat and often find our “favourite” is still with us while his/her friends have left. Cats like Horatio, Fernie, Dash, Summer and her daughter Squall, have all been with us some time and are really delightful cats to look after. However, like recent residents Bentley, Magic and dear little Bijou they too will find new homes, given time.
Fernie, one of our long-term residents
If you are looking for a cat or kitten please give Stephanie a call on 01692 535858, or visit www.cats.org.uk/northwalsham for a description and photographs of the cats before giving us a call on the above number to find out where any particular cat is being fostered.

The Royal Family will feature heavily in the Cromer Carnival week which runs 16-22 August.
Organiser Michelle Hedge said “I'm thrilled with how well attended all three competitions were and I think the judges have done an amazing job, albeit exceptionally tough this year. We are thrilled to welcome Hayley, Erin, Allyse, Tasmin, Hannah and Sol to the Carnival team.” Carnival Chairman Tony Shipp said “I would like to thank all the entrants who attended the competitions this year and for supporting the Carnival. I am looking forward to working alongside this year’s ‘Royals`. They are one of our youngest groups of ‘Royals’ and I am sure they will do a great job of representing both the Cromer Carnival and the town of Cromer.”

Call for entries for the Graham Allen Awards 2014
Renovation projects and new buildings that sensitively capture the distinctive character of our local architecture could be in line for a prestigious award from North Norfolk District Council (NNDC).
North Norfolk has a history of producing high quality innovative developments and renovation projects, and entries are now being sought for this year’s Graham Allen Awards, the annual NNDC awards for excellence in conservation and design. The closing date for entries is 30 June, 2014.
The awards were inaugurated in 1982 as a memorial to the late G.S. Allen, the first Chairman of NNDC, to recognise the scheme that makes the biggest contribution to North Norfolk’s unique built heritage.
During their lifetime a diverse range of projects have scooped the awards, ranging from the new cloisters and refectory building at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham to the refurbishment of the Gunton Arms, Thorpe Market, and last year’s winner, the Priory at Weybourne. Council announces record year for affordable housing completions north norfolk District Council (nnDC) has been able to provide 153 new affordable homes across the district during 2013/14, working in partnership with five housing associations.
This is the highest ever number of affordable dwellings delivered in the district in a single year and the first time that the number of new affordable homes completed by housing associations has exceeded 150 homes.
The completion of 153 affordable homes places North Norfolk at the top of the table for affordable home completions in Norfolk for 2013/14: North Norfolk District Council South Norfolk Council Norwich City Council Breckland Council Broadland District Council Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk Great Yarmouth Borough Council

Rhodri Oliver, NNDC Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member with responsibility for Housing, said "I am really pleased that we have managed to achieve this exceptional level of affordable housing completions this year. It reflects well on the hard work of all the officers and partners who work together to bring forward affordable housing development across North Norfolk.
“We are fully aware of the continuing need for new homes of all tenures and we will be striving to bring forward more affordable housing developments over the next few years to meet the serious housing need in North Norfolk."
New affordable homes have been provided across North Norfolk including the towns of Fakenham, North Walsham, Sheringham and Hoveton as well as the villages of Honing, Hempton, Northrepps, Potter Heigham and Fulmodeston.
MEP calls for more EU money to be made available for coastal defences Richard Howitt, the Labour MEP for the East of England, has backed calls for more EU money to be made available for coastal defences in the future, and criticised the UK Government for not claiming in time EU solidarity money made available for Norfolk immediately after the flooding. He was recently given a tour of parts of the North Norfolk coast and met residents still suffering following last year's devastating floods.
Following the floods, North Norfolk Labour Party launched the 'Protect Our Coast' petition calling on the Environment Agency to reinstate and improve coastal defences.
Richard and North Norfolk Labour’s parliamentary candidate Denise Burke were shown the erosion
that led to a Happisburgh house falling into the sea last December.
Mr Howitt said “Climate change is not just an idea for Happisburgh and North Norfolk, it is something that is happening to them right now. Coastal erosion has a devastating effect on communities such as this, and Europe needs to make more help available.
“Local communities rallied together after the floods, and I was one of the first donors to the EDP’s flood appeal, but I was shocked that the UK Government refused to put in a claim for EU money made available to help flood victims. “With less money made available for councils to help prevent coastal erosion, and with cuts to
flood defences from the Environment Agency highlighted by North Norfolk Labour’s “Protect our Coast” campaign, Europe has a real opportunity to make a difference in coastal towns and villages.
“I will continue to fight for EU money to be made available to make these communities sustainable for years to come.” The 'Protect Our Coast' petition can be signed at www.protectourcoast.co.uk

Norfolk pupil reaches finals of a national song writing competition
Romy Sipek, a Year 8 pupil at Gresham’s Prep School in Holt has just been named as one of the finalists in a national song writing competition with her song, Devil from Above. As a result, Romy who is one of 10 finalists in the 7-12 year old category of the Young Songwriter Competition 2014, will perform with a professional band at the Song Academy showcase in London in June 2014.
The national competition which is now in its third year is an exciting platform for aspiring young songwriters to have their songs heard by industry professionals, with an opportunity to release their own single. Director of Music, Romy Sipek Nathan Waring said, “Romy has shown considerable flair as a singer/songwriter since her early days at Gresham’s Pre-Prep. She regularly performs her own music, accompanying herself on the piano or guitar in school concerts and I’m thrilled that she has now achieved some national recognition for her talent.”
Romy wrote her first song when she was 10 years old and has written six songs to date. She is currently working on her seventh song! Her musical influences are electronic chart music and she also likes Taylor Swift.
Having received the news of her selection Romy said "It's always been a dream of mine to be a songwriter. I didn't expect to make the final but now I have, I'm very excited".

The judging panel which includes such songwriters as Jamie Scott (One Direction), Debbie Wiseman MBE, Rob Davis (Kylie Minogue) and producers Lyn Goddard and Denzyl Feigelson (Apple iTunes), will shortly be choosing the winner of the competition who will get to record their song at a London recording studio.
Eg White, British musician, songwriter and producer and best known for his work with Duffy and Adele commented “Normally upon listening to the results of a song writing competition, what comes across is how the competitors are trying to write commercial sounding music or impress with their cleverness or catchiness, but listening to these songs, I just really enjoyed the music, and could actually feel the people behind the songs, which has to be pretty close to the whole point of writing!”
To listen to the songs by the 2014 finalists visit the website at www.songacademy.co.uk/says14 where Romy Sipek’s composition, Devil from Above is featured.

Review of Charity Jazz Concert
Held on Saturday 3 May at Cromer Parish Church by the Norwich Students Jazz Orchestra
People walking into Cromer Parish Church were met with the exciting sounds from this very talented jazz ensemble as they "warmed up" in preparation for the evening concert, having been invited to play by Rotary as a complete change from the usual organ concerts - an experiment which was certainly justified.
Under the direction of Josh Daniels, being the successor to Dave Amis, the founder of the Norwich Students Jazz Orchestra, they performed a programme of exciting jazz idioms from swing to rock, Latin American and blues.
instrumentalist had a very short improvisatory slot and matched the demands of this skill, announcing in turn each number to be played. Here, it must be said, that the microphone technique was not good, coupled with no programmes being issued, it was difficult to ascertain the composers and arrangers of the music played. It would have been good if Josh Daniels had been free to "front" the band - had he not been busy playing the bass parts on keyboard!
Dave Amis was guest artist on this occasion, playing with the band an arrangement of Amazing Grace - displaying his improvisatory qualities in both Amazing Grace and a piece in

Blues Idiom.
The female vocalist seemed confident in holding her own against a skilful obbligato by Dave Amis and a subdued accompaniment from the band in performing "It’s only a Paper Moon".
The audience responded at the close with prolonged applause in appreciation, not only of the instrumental skills each player obviously had, but of the enthusiasm and confidence which was evident throughout the concert, probably the first ever jazz concert in Cromer Parish Church.
Patricia Williams, on behalf of Rotary, thanked the orchestra, Josh Daniels and the audience for what proved to be a most enjoyable evening, declaring that proceeds from this event will augment the local community pot to be distributed to various causes. Terry Keeler

Dear Margaret,
Thank you for advertising the fundraising afternoon tea on Saturday 24 May. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen family situation (nothing to do with Ella-grace) we have to cancel. We are hoping it may be possible to fit another date in towards June but this remains to be seen. Yours sincerely, Kelly Leeder
Dear Margaret,
I am pleased to see that the Labour Party's petition for later trains to and from Norwich in the evenings has reignited a debate on public transport here in North Norfolk. Over 500 people have now signed the petition online at www.leavelater.info because they recognise both the benefits to passengers and to the local night-time economy. It is good to hear that Greater Anglia are considering timetable tweaks but we do not think this goes far enough. Many who have signed the petition would like to see trains run until midnight rather than the present 10.45pm time. We have heard from passengers who attend shows at Cromer Pier who also would like to see trains beyond 8pm on a Sunday evening. There are passengers who want to see a better deal for those travelling to Worstead and Gunton too. This passenger input should be crucial in deciding future rail contracts, and also when drawing up bus timetables in and out of the city too. By making these adjustments we will encourage more to give up their cars to use public transport. Yours sincerely, Jono Read, Press Officer for North Norfolk Labour
Dear Margaret,
May we through The Cromer Times say that the sum raised at the MS Coffee Morning at Thorpe Market Church raised ÂŁ377.80. Many thanks to all who donated, helped and bought. Yours sincerely, Mandy Hayward and Hazel Patrickson

May is always our resolution meeting and the meeting was opened with plenty of lively discussion over the proposal of “Organ Donation”. We want the WI to make friends and relatives aware of our wishes regarding organ donation. Coral Batchelor, our Advisor from the Federation Office in Norwich, came along and guided us through the system. We voted for the Resolution and it will now go forward to our Annual Meeting in Leeds in June.

…where the league season has started. In the Federation County league the Crabs were at home to Sheringham Morley and started off the season with a very good 7 – 2 win. The following week however they could not keep up the good work and on a green new to most of the players, Swanton Morley, they crashed to a 0 – 9 defeat. The Crows playing away at Aylsham for their first game had a very close encounter which they just lost 4 – 5. The next game at home to Blakeney saw a reversal of fortunes however and an excellent 5 – 4 win. The Wednesday evening team in the Hansells County League played at home against Reepham Nomads and managed a very good 4 – 1 win. This against the team that finished last season second in the league only one point the behind the eventual winners R G Carter .A’. The next game away to County Arts ‘B’ in Norwich however was a different story. The team had some difficulty getting to grips with the running of the green, and despite two rinks each coming within a few shots of their opponents the overall result was a 0 – 5 defeat. The NANSA League game due to be played had to be cancelled as unfortunately the opposition were unable to raise a team. As you will gather the scoring system is different for the various leagues, but I will not go into detail about that as it’s the final result that matters. Vice President Keith held another well supported Spoon Drive on a vacant Saturday. It’s good to see members old and new joining in these friendly competitions. On Friday 23rd May the club is involved in the Lord Fermoy Cup. This competition is one where one rink of four men play at home and another rink of four play away on the opponents green. The opposition in this case being Martham BC. Both rinks play 21 ends and it is the aggregate score over the two games that decides the winner. In what is an amazing coincidence the ladies of the club also meet Martham BC in their own version of a similar competition The Webb Trophy. They will be playing their games on Wednesday 28th May in the afternoon. In another competition on Friday 30th May the club have been drawn away to Aylsham BC in the Bales Cup. Both teams play 3 rinks of men, the overall number of shots scored decides the winner. This is the county Club Championship in which historically the club has a good record, but not I have to say in recent years. So Captain Graham will be looking to his team to progress this year albeit that the team is playing away. In yet another county competition the club will be at home on Sunday 1st June against Aldiss Park BC in the Jermy Cup. This is a mixed competition, two men and two ladies in each of three rinks. The overall shots scored again decide the winner.
As usual the morning club roll ups continue and I remind you that the free Friday evenings on the green are available for anyone who would like to come along and try out the game. Remember “Don’t Say No Before You Have Had a Go”.
And so to that list of the matches being played on the green that you may wish to come and watch, and support.
