Jonathan Veira at Sheringham Salvation Army
Our special guest at The Salvation Army, Cremer Street, Sheringham on Saturday 13th May at 7 30pm (the week after the Coronation) is the internationally renowned singer, Jonathan Veira
In “An Audience with Jonathan Veira”, Jonathan will use his voice and his skills as a musician on the piano and guitar, in a range of styles from Popular to Classical, together with his talents as a comedian and most of all communicator
Jonathan regularly broadcasts on BBC radio and television and has recorded numerous CDs and television programs in many genres including light entertainment and religious broadcasting, particularly with Songs of Praise Tracks from his CDs on the Elevation recording label are often featured on radio programmes across the globe
After a concert in Northern Ireland, a member of the audience said: “Jonathan Veira is the best one-man show I have ever seen, and no, I'm not one of his relatives!
And Phillip R Buttall of the Plymouth Evening Herald wrote: " Jonathan Veira, singer and pianist, who kept a packed audience absolutely spellbound for over 2 hours with a fascinating mix of humour, anecdote and, of course, superb music. There was Gershwin, A Donizetti aria, a Billy Joel number, gospel, country & western, blues, standards like 'Mona Lisa', 'My Funny Valentine' and much more besides, a veritable pot pourri which, on paper, would have seemed totally ill-suited in juxtaposition
However, whilst Jonathan is a true Jack-of-all-trades, he is an unsurpassed master of them all, subtly changing his delivery from one genre to the next, allowing the programme to unfold seamlessly, yet still maintaining an almost impromptu feel to the whole show"
Tickets are available now on Eventbrite (search for Jonathan Veira Live) at £12 each
