PRIORITY BOARD INFORMATION
SOUTHWEST PRIORITY BOARD
INNERWEST PRIORITY BOARD
Dayton has a long history of citizen participation dating back more than 35 years when the Priority Board system took shape. Since then Dayton has gained national recognition for the process of gaining input from citizens. Elected officials and City administrators regularly seek input from the Priority Boards on opportunities and issues facing neighborhoods and the city overall. It has proven to be a very effective two-way communication system that benefits all. The seven Priority Boards are: Downtown, Southeast, Northeast, FROC (Fair River Oaks Council), Northwest, Innerwest and Southwest. The City of Dayton as a whole represents approximately 36,108 Acres of land. Our study area (Innerwest and Southwest Priority Boards) total approximately 10,394 acres, or approximately 29% of the City’s area.

Transit Center Each transit center provides an enclosed climate controlled passenger waiting area, public restrooms, telephones, and security. All transit centers except the Wright Stop Plaza provide an RTA Parkn-Ride lot with auto and bike parking.
BICYCLE FACILITIES Expert Route: Recommended for bicyclists with advanced skills. Traffic volume, speed, and/or roadway width require extreme caution. Skilled Route: Recommended for bicyclists with intermediate skills. Traffic volume, speed, and/or roadway width may be uncomfortable for some cyclists. Novice Route: Recommended for bicyclists with basic skills. Local and residential streets are appropriate routes for cyclists of all skill levels. Bike Lane: Dedicated lane for bicyclists only. Streets with bike lanes are appropriate routes for cyclists of all skill levels. Sharrow: Pavement markings alerting motorists to the presence of bicyclists within the travel lanes. However, traffic volume, speed, and/or roadway width may be uncomfortable for some cyclists.
Shared Use Path: Dedicated off-street route for non-motorized forms of travel. Shared-use paths are appropriate routes for cyclists of all skill levels.
