Location The centre of Milngavie is only a short stroll down Baldernock Road, with its pedestrianised shopping precinct, train station and Tesco superstore. The start of the West Highland Way can be found in the centre of the village and the immediate area also offers some fantastic open spaces with Craigmaddie and Mugdock reservoirs and Mugdock Country Park perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. Milngavie has some excellent schools, both primary and secondary, with the new Douglas Academy not too far away. There are a number of bars and restaurants locally along with numerous leisure facilities, including the Virgin Active complex, golf courses, bowling and tennis clubs dotted around the area.
