Lithonia No. 1 Pump Station

Reeves Young provided design build services for this new 15 MGD sewage pump station. The project included placement of approximately 5,000 CY of cast-in-place concrete, rock excavation, 3,000 LF of force main, and a 48” gravity sewer. Reeves Young installed equipment including submersible pumps, slide gates, odor control system, and a 5-ton bridge crane. This project had a very aggressive schedule set in place by DeKalb County (fast track project required by the Georgia Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division consent order with a 225 calendar day schedule). Construction started with drawings less than 60% complete. The project required daily team coordination, and to meet the aggressive schedule, construction was maintained 24/7. Substantial completion for this project was achieved in 7 months.
