This event is a good example of a true customer experience. FRANKFURT

Automechanika FAIR The Automechanika is the world’s most famous trade show for automotive aftermarket specialists and professionals. There are multiple editions of this event all over the world. The most famous edition is the one in Frankfurt. In 2022, Rymax Lubricants participated as an exhibitor at this fair. We bought a 35-square-meter booth space with three open sides. We developed a stand concept to resemble our office in Holland—a cozy, inviting, and warm atmosphere where people would feel at home. Another benefit of this concept was that it really stood out from the rest, because most booths were shiny white with a lot of focus on product. Our different approach was very successful, as we got a lot of positive feedback. The Automechanika had 2.804 exhibiting companies from 70 countries in 19 halls. We welcomed 78.000 visitors from 175 countries for 6 days. Rymax Lubricants talked to many potential new customers, and we administered over 120 leads for followup. Some of them have converted to new customers within just a couple of months. Next to the interesting new prospects we have spoken to, our presence at the Automechanika was also a very good occasion to meet some of our existing customers, have a talk with suppliers and professionals from the industry, and present our brand to the many, many visitors. To promote our presence at the Automechanika Frankfurt in advance, we advertised extensively on Facebook and LinkedIn. Also, during the Expo, an advertisement for our presence ran on LinkedIn. With this, we reached over 150.000 business professionals.

OSLO MOTOR SHOW

The Oslo Motorshow brings all players in the automotive industry together. From car parts to show cars, everything is present during this yearly event in Norway. As an official partner with a big stand in the center of the fair, Rymax is able to connect with all of its visitors.

CERTAINTY RACING

TCR BENELUX & Renault Clio CUP The Certainty Racing Team from Holland is a group of ambitious and successful mechanics and race-car drivers. With their very attractive vehicles with clear Rymax branding, they participated in the races of the TCR Benelux and the Renault Clio Cup. We used the events to invite guests and personnel in a VIP setting to one of the races. We hired a video company to create a professional video of the event, and we used the content on our social media channels, brochures, and websites. The Certainty Racing Team has also participated in one of our Rymax Experiences, bringing their race cars to all the distributors to experience the impact of these machines. This partnership has helped us improve customer relationships and generate professional and appealing content.

EXTREME RALLY RAID

MORocco Desert Challenge Rymax Lubricants has been a proud partner and participant in several global motorsport events. As the main sponsor of the Morocco Desert Challenge in 2018 and 2019, Rymax had a very visible role in this rallyraid. The Morocco Desert Challenge is the second-biggest rally raid in the world and is broadcast on international TV. With the Rymax Racing Team present, Rymax was well represented in all categories. A film crew present on location documented the progress of the Rymax Racing Team. GATEBIL FESTIVAL 2019 | EVENT MOVIE

GATEBIL

DRIFT FESTIVAL A demanding part of motorsport is drifting. The very high-performance cars, often with more than 750 bhp, operating under extreme circumstances are a great opportunity to connect our products with these conditions. Also, the sport can count on a lot of fans and a lot of social media attention. Although the drift scene is growing all over the world, we found a leading event in Norway, Gatebil, to sponsor as one of the main partners. In 2019, Rymax entered a multi-year partnership with Gatebil, the biggest drift festival in Scandinavia. Gatebil, which takes place five times per year in Norway and Sweden, attracts a large audience, with over 50.000 visitors per event. With a big presence on the drift track and in the paddock, Rymax has become a very well-known brand amongst all Gatebil fans. Several cars participating, as well as the famous Gatebil taxis, drift on the track with the Rymax logo visible. At the Rymax stand, fans can meet their drift hero Fredric Aasbø during the signing sessions. Several Rymax movies have been made here, including the first documentary produced by Rymax about Fredric Aasbø. The sponsorship agreement is comparable to the Morocco Desert Challenge. In return for the fee, we can display our logo, colors, and name on many places on and around the track in the form of flags, banners, brand booths, vehicles, products, and so on. This requires close cooperation with the organization: we supply them with all the promotional material, and we make sure they place our flags and banners at the best locations.

You can think of many different ways to give shape to a booth at a fair or expo. Within the Rymax brand guidelines, a lot is possible to make your booth stand out from the rest and help you realize a successful fair presence. Here are some ideas we have created for different occasions.


The Process The process of creating a professional stand is not so complicated. Many fairs follow a similar process, and the construction of the booth is at many Expos the same. If you follow a couple of steps, you can have a high-quality and professional booth that will quickly make you stand out from the rest. 1. Contact the expo or fair to receive all the details on your booth: what is the size? How many open sides and how many walls? How high and wide is your wall space, and what is the material? In what format should you deliver the artwork? Is there any multimedia available, like the internet or a TV? Once you have these questions answered, you can contact Rymax HQ. 2. Inform us on your goals for the fair; this is important to consider when developing the artwork. For example, you want to attract new sub-distributors or welcome existing customers. Or you want to present yourself as a specialist in a certain segment like agriculture, industrial, heavy duty, or passenger car. Based on this information, we will create a perfect design and additional materials like banners, flags, and online material. Stand fitting and display work to space only sites must not exceed an overall height of 2500mm without the Organiser’s written permission. With permission, the total possible height to which you may construct your stand is 6000mm depending on the hall & location within the hall. Applications should be made in writing to the Organiser and be accompanied by a scale drawing. Such applications should be made at least four weeks prior to the Show.

If a space only exhibitor needs to hire furniture, they can only order from their stand builders. Furniture will not be readily available on site. Exhibitors’ stand fitting contractors can commence work on space only stands on the date scheduled in the Deadline Checklist that is part of the Exhibitor Information Manual.

7: EXHIBITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1.

The term "Exhibitor" refers to the company that signatory to this application form and includes all employees or agents of such. The term "Exhibition" refers to the event described on the front of this form (over). The term "Organiser" refers to Messe Frankfurt Middle East GmbH. In case of "Joint ventures", howsoever described the Exhibitor is deemed to have obtained the consent of all the individual participants to all the terms and conditions of this contract.

2.

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel a booking upon due notice to the Exhibitor or agent should the Exhibitor fail to make payments upon the due dates. In such cases any monies already paid to the Organiser will be non-refundable and the Organiser reserves the right to demand the remaining balance from the Exhibitor. The Organiser reserves the right to levy a surcharge on any outstanding payments due and owing by the Exhibitor at a rate of 10 % per annum calculated from the due date until the date of actual payment. Any loss incurred by the Organiser, resulting from the Exhibitor’s actions must be paid by the Exhibitor to the Organiser.

3.

All applications for space must contain details of the proposed exhibit(s) and the name of any other company(s) represented by the Exhibitor whose products/services are to be displayed on the stand. The Exhibitor is strictly forbidden to sub-let or assign or grant licenses in respect of any part of the space without the prior written approval of the “Organiser”. Only the products/services/companies listed on this form may be exhibited. The charges for space are currently exclusive of any applicable national, federal or local government taxes, all of which must be borne by the Exhibitor. All charges quoted for exhibition space are exclusive of value added tax (VAT) or any other taxes or other government duties, all of which must be borne by the Exhibitor. To the extent that VAT or other taxes or government duties apply to services or goods supplied by the Organiser, they will be added to prices and charged to the Exhibitor.

Floor covering - All stands are carpeted.

4.

Walling - Each booth is constructed using our SYMA X-WALL aluminium profile. The structure includes a pre-assembled 3mH frame, infill panels on both sides and a fascia beam. No fixings may be made to the walls. Panels are sized as per the following restrictions. Corners and end panel dimension is 980mm x 3000, Panels in between will be at 9800mm x 3000mm.

The Organiser reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine the size, layout and position of any stands. The Exhibitor shall accept a new stand size, layout or position if it is reasonable for the Organiser to exercise this right.

5.

Upon the acceptance of the application for space a contract shall arise between the Organiser and the Exhibitor in the terms and conditions of this contract subject to variation notified by the Organiser at their sole discretion to the Exhibitor. The relationship of licensor and licensee shall immediately arise and continue between the Organiser and the Exhibitor. In the case non payment of any due sum or any breach or non-observance of any of these terms and conditions by the Exhibitor the Organiser shall have the full right to revoke this license and to re-enter upon the allotted space and may remove and exclude the Exhibitor without prejudice to recovering all monies payable hereunder, all other claims against the exhibitor and the right to recover damages sustained by the Organiser.

6.

The Exhibitor must occupy the space allotted to it by 8.00 am on the day prior to the first day of the opening of the Exhibition. In the event of default for whatever reason the Exhibitor shall pay to the Organiser a further sum in liquidated damages equal to the total charge for the space. The Organiser reserves the right to reallocate such space in any way it sees fit.

7.

In the event of the Exhibitor becoming insolvent, declared bankrupt of facing winding up proceedings the contract with Exhibitor shall be determined void and all monies already paid shall be retained by the Organiser.

8.

Breach of Contract and Withdrawal by the Exhibitor. Without prejudice to rights and remedies of the Organiser in respect of any breach of the Contract on the part of the Exhibitor, the Organiser may at its discretion allow the Exhibitor to withdraw from the Exhibition subject to the following conditions: a) The Exhibitor must give written notice to the Organiser that it desires to withdraw. If the Organiser allows such withdrawal it will notify the Exhibitor of its decision in writing; b) Any such notification by the Organiser to the Exhibitor will constitute a cancellation of the Contract subject to the payment by the Exhibitor to the Organiser a consideration for release from the contract; c) The amount such payment will be specified in the Organiser’s notification to the Exhibitor and will be that proportion of the space rental payable under the contract dependent upon the date upon which the Organiser receives the notification from the Exhibitor as detailed below: Date of Receipt by Organiser of Notice Withdrawal Proportion of Space Rental Payable: More than four months prior to the Exhibition 50%; less than four months prior to the Exhibition 100% d) Upon payment of such amount to the Organiser by the Exhibitor (credit being given by the Organiser for all rental already paid by the Organiser for all rental already paid by the Exhibitor) the contract shall be cancelled and neither party shall have any further claim against the other.

9.

Exhibitors shall be totally responsible for the obtaining of visas and customs clearance for their staff, agents, products or services and in no event shall there be any claim for damages or otherwise against the Organiser in respect of any loss or expense relating thereto. Exhibitors will be totally responsible for the cost of restoring to its original condition any part of the land or structure occupied by them which has been altered or damaged in any way. The Exhibitor shall hold the Organiser safe and harmless from all loss or damage suffered by or arising from out of any act or default of any servant, agent, employee or subcontractor of the Exhibitor.

Exhibitors who have ordered SYMA / SYMA plus will receive a stand erected to the following specifications:

Fascia - 400mm high panel (clear dimensions) on SYMA frame. Additional supports shall be provided at corners and where open side exceeds 3000mm in length. Name Board (Fascia) - Stand lettering fitted to the fascia. Where the stand fascia exceeds 3000mm, an additional name panel will be fitted. Only exhibitors with Standard Shell Scheme stands will be provided with a stand name and number on the stand fascia. No company logos or fittings may be attached to the name panel or fascia. Furniture and other accessories – Furniture packages will vary as per the total square meter of each standard shell scheme. Additional accessories, attachments and equipment should be ordered and indicated in the stand design prior to build up. Electrics / Lighting - With each 9 square meters, 3 x 20W SYMA LED Spotlights are fitted behind the fascia-board or to the support beam and 1 x socket outlet (3-pin UK Standard Socket 200Watts / 220V) is provided at 40 cm from floor level on the rear wall otherwise requested to be moved on a different location. If you require your power socket to be positioned in specific locations on your stand a grid plan must be submitted 15 days before build up. If you do not indicate positions, the fitments will be fixed in positions by our staff and any changes/relocation onsite will incur charges amounting to AED 50.00 Head and Island Stands - Head Stands (3 open sides) will only have one wall constructed. Island Stands do not normally come with any walls. If required, the allowance is 1 wall panel per 3 sqm of stand space. The position of any panels required must be clearly marked on a grid plan that will be part of the exhibitor manual and must be submitted to the stand constructor not later than 14 days prior to the start of build up. Furniture - refer to the above configuration and for extra orders, please contact fairconstruction@uae.messefrankfurt.com or visit www.fairconstruction.com. IMPORTANT - Exhibitors will be liable for payment for damaged panels.

5: Country Pavilions Exhibitors of Country Pavilions (Joint Presentation) will get stand construction as per agreed design and details. Please note that in these cases the company providing additional furniture and decoration items will be the same company that is building the stands. This might not be the same company which is providing the Shell Scheme stands. Please refer to your pavilion organiser for details and price lists.

6. Space Only Stand Specifications The Space Only option does not include any stand fittings, flooring or electrics, but enables the exhibitors to create their own individual stand build. Please ensure that your stand design does not include the standard shell scheme as this is provided by our Official Stand Contractors only and plans containing shell scheme will be

Youth Festival A completely different but very smart approach to sponsoring is done by Rymax Lubricants Vietnam. To create brand awareness with a younger target group (the clients of the future!) and to open the doors to find new, talented, and well-educated colleagues, Rymax Vietnam sponsored the HCMUTE Youth Festival. The sponsorship is done in association with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, which is the leading university in the country in terms of research and training in automobile and mechanical engineering. Throughout the Festival are colorful and useful exchange activities, with the participation of more than 5,000 students and 24 units of Clubs, Teams, Groups, Departments and Centers in the school. In addition to the full funding for the festival’s activities, Rymax Vietnam also awarded more than 20 scholarships to students with excellent achievements.

AUTOSHOW ERBIL Mawaran, our distributor in Iraq attended the Erbil Autoshow in 2023. At a prime location they set up a big and visually impactful booth-space. The absolute highlight of the fair was a personal visit of the prime-minister of Iraq to the Rymax booth, accompanied by the official Dutch Ambassador.

UCI WORLD TOUR COMPETITION

TOUR DU RWANDA Although bicycles are not a product that require a lot of oil, this event is a huge opportunity to boost brand awareness, and a creative link to our products can still be made: cycling is all about fluent motion, effective transfer of power, and reducing resistance. It is one of the biggest yearly sporting events in Rwanda, generating a lot of publicity and exposure in the entire country. The Rymax promotion team provides the spectators with free goodies and entertainment, leaving a very positive feeling behind. In addition to sponsoring the event, we’ve also created a combined logo of Rymax and SP to promote the event.

south africa DISTRIBUTOR ORBIT INDUSTRIAL CROSS COUNTRY RALLY-RAID

tankwa rally Orbit Industrial is the Rymax distributor in South Africa. They are big motor enthusiasts themselves and found this sponsorship within their own network of friends and relations. This rally event in their local market: the Tankwa Rally, is a cross-country rally raid. The rally is followed by many people who are potentially interesting new clients. The Rymax products fit very naturally to the sponsorship: the extreme performance and harsh conditions, making this sponsorship very interesting. They’ve already made this awesome trailer of the rally with some great Rymax placement throughout the video. To promote the event, we’ve also created a set of custom-made social media posts to place on Facebook or Instagram.

FORMER PARTNER ATC GROUP RACE TO THE CLOUDS

Rymax at Pikes Peak Hill Climb This is a very good example of brand activation. Our former USA distributor, ATC Group, are true petrolheads themselves. Even so much that they’ve built their own race car. And this car is special: a total rebuild of a vintage race classic, a Datsun 240Z now made out of carbon fiber with complete race specs. Not only does this special car generate a lot of attention and exposure in the race- and car enthusiasts’ scene, but ATC Group also uses it to compete at one of the most famous and demanding races in the world: the International Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Putting Rymax stickers on the car and dressing the team in Rymax clothing resulted in beautiful content to be promoted and advertised on social media. Also, the presence of Rymax at such a famous event radiates in a very positive way onto the brand and improves brand awareness. Later, ATC Group took another one of their special builds to the world-famous SEMA Car Show. The Lexus GS was hosted at the Toyo Tires booth and was fitted with Rymax stickers.

DISTRIBUTOR HIDRAULIC-SERVICE SRL After visiting Rymax Lubricants at the Automechanika 2022, Hydraulic-Service from Moldova was inspired to also attend a local fair in Moldova. A beautiful and stylish design inspired by the Rymax Lubricants stand from Automechnika. They even made a replica of the wooden Rymax table! Also pay attention to the drums used for seating and lighting—a very good job.

DISTRIBUTOR JIANGSU GUOPING Jiangsu Guoping in China developed this fair concept with their local producer. A very large stand, but through the use of sea containers, a very cost-effective way to ensure a visually impactful presence. Together with Rymax HQ, the design was fine-tuned and got the full Rymax look. An awesome stand with all the Rymax design incorporated, together with some great Rymax visuals, is guaranteed to attract a lot of attention at the fair. Unfortunately, the fair is postponed for now because of COVID-19 restrictions in China.

incentive tour A very successful marketing tool of Kevin, the Rymax distributor in Malaysia, are his incentive trips for top performing customers. In 2023, he visited the Netherlands with his best Rymax sub-distributors and resellers. Together, we organized a wonderful experience at the Rymax Headquarters, including a tour, lunch, award ceremony and a e-scooter ride.
