Gardening at Fort Totten

The Fort Totten event consisted of a long morning of gardening in preparation for Earth Day, but the overall experience was quite pleasant. During the event, other key clubbers and I worked together to clean up the appearance of the Fort Totten Castle. We raked the dead leaves, plucked the weeds and swept it all into a bag. My favorite part of this event was the aspect of teamwork involved. All our individual assignments were all contributed to one common goal. Afterwards, we put down our rakes and shears and talked over snacks before taking a group photo to commemorate our hard effort. -Alice Qu, member
