RAYONG MUNICIPLE LANDFILL CONCEPT DHAMMA RETREAT BROWNFIELD DESIGN RAYONG, THAILAND NOVEMBER 2016 80 rai Rayong municipal waste landfill used for more than 50 years, and in those year that I got this project this municipal landfill is being retired. Rayong government has an idea to tranform this area into a public recreation area. This landfill area is located near the Buddihist monastery, so I got the idea to change the landfill has become a Dharma retreat place to calm the mind that was damaged from stress at work. It should be also a resting place of people who live around them. This project is designed to put the treatment of waste processing as one of the element of design, then people can use this place while the place revive itself. The existing structure of landfill management is also become a Buddistht supporting area that people can use it for living or other function for living in this Darma retreat place.




The external area is designed to look calm, all the gabage was piled in a heap, and turn it into a building of religious activity, and mindrulness meditation. There has a water pond around the site that is resulting from the treatment of leachate, and that pond is becomes a space for meditation, and oxygen recharge area at the same time. Waste treatment plant that is out of operation is designed to be a residential unit and facility management in this area.



The area inside the building of religiouse establishment is devide into three part. First is the Cental Hall, and the main entranceof the building that have a function of a gathering space, Next to the hall is a space for practice meditation, and the last space is a space for chongkrom meditation, meditate by walking. The space inside is also use as a plant for the treatment of leachate that start from chongkrom meditation space that can collect methane gas from this process. The leachate will be healing untill the Cental Hall space and conduct to the pond outside. This building has air ventilation management and release the air through the gabage for increase the decomposition base process.



The model shows the space inside the religious establish building that divided into three part, and the position of the ventilation system.


AIT CAMPUS CONCEPT WISDOM INTERVENTION CAMPUS DESIGN BANGKOK, THAILAND MARCH 2016 798 rai “Learning beond boundary� is the main motto of the Asean Institute of technology. The motto has been used as a project concept in design. It is interpreted by bringing knowledge that teach in this college and catagorizes them in to 4 grop such as Environment, Engineer, Agriculture and Social management. After that, that these 4 group is interpolated in to campus area by landscape element .This design will stimulate students in this campus become a multidisplinary people that can integrate knowledges to achive their goal.

Solar Farm The golf course is changed to be a sola cells field that face to south. The solar cells field also have a water ditch between each cell. Water in open ditch wiill reduse the heat form the sun that effect to surounding area and improve solar cells potential.

SOLAR FARM DETAIL PLAN Goft course in the institue is changed to be a solar farm, because this area has a suitable space(big and clear). This solar field will generate a electricity for AIT. Solar farm will take a 1 one of 3 part of this area and face to south, that make solar fram generate electricity with a high potential. This route is focus on travel by walking and cycling to reduce the power consumption, activity (Plaza). This will become the sheare space to the students of faculty around the plasa. Thisa can be generate new activities, knowledge exchange.

YANNAWET SAKKAWAN TEMPLE CONCEPT VISANYUTMAGGA BHUDIST TEMPLE DESIGN RAYONG, THAILAND AUGUST 2016 25 rai Group work In Bali language, Magga mean a way, Visanyut mean easily, simple. Visanyutamagga is concept about use a simple design to renovate the bhuddist temple with a proper function and blend in the natural environment. This design also use low maintenance materials that can be apart to natural environment. We provide a space for people to do religion activity that lead them to understand the change of the world.

Water Treatment Diagram We decide to design the treatment system to solve the water pollution in temple. This treatment solution is nearly to environmental system for saving lwildlife habitat and maintain the ecosystem in Yannawet Sakkawan temple. The system use oxygen exchanging process and phytoremdation system. This system also give an aesthetic environment for meditation activity.

Sala Charitable This area is locate on common space, this area contain many religion activity in this site. So on the special day of buddhist people, it’s always crowded. We redesign the circulation and expand this common space to newly purchase land beside the old space. We also provide the openspace for overow actiity.

The concept of forest park is inspired by Tribhume, Thai religion literature, That describe the element of universe., that has The Meru Mount in the central of universe enclose by sea and has four continent around. Element of universe in the literature become an element in landscape that solve a ooding problem by central swale., every element in forest park also be meditation furnitures.

Scripture School The residential zone contain two of function area, They are Scripture School and accommodation area for monk. These two area have defferent concept, Scripture School is a school that teach dhamma for monk, so the concept of landscape is throw back to the bhuddha era and immitate teaching environment for monk student. The accomodate landscape concept is provide ecological system that merge to meditation space that will make them feel peach in thier mind

BANGBAN CONCEPT STAY ALIVE AGRO-ECOLOGICAL DESIGN AYUTTHAYA, THAILAND Janyuary 2016 43,5807,931 rai GROUP WORK Bangban is a district of Ayutthaya province, most of land use is used for agriculture. The nature of landscape in this area is a seasonal flood plain of Chaopraya river. Then, the government use it to be a detention area to contain the volume of water in flood season that influence to local people. This project is study about natural process in Bangban and adapt it to make local people get a better life in different season of landscape.

Landscape of Bangban has 3 different type there are rice field that will have a volume of water in wet season, Lower land that will be flooded in flood season and upper land that dry all of the year.

Food chain that human get a highest benefit from the landscape that make it change and ruin natural balance. So, we need to change the way of life of human.

From topograpy and hydrological dinamic, Bangban can devine into 3 zone. That zone1 and zone2 is suitable to use in flood season because they get a lowest effect from flooding. Zone3 is proper to use in dry season because it has a potential to collect water.

TOPOGRAPHY In the past, water can flow across a naturl levee easily, and it take a nutrient to this area make this area plentiful and have a high ecological diversity.

But today according the detention area policy, the government has built a ditch around Bangban to gain a water capacity. This make a water pollution a destroy a ecological diversity.


NATIVE PLANT In Bangban’s ladscape, most of native plant is a wet land plant, such as Morning glory, Reed, Fern, Maiyalarb that can live with ooding event


In Bangban’s landscape, there also have other kind of plats that was bringed to Bangban by local people because agriculture and religion reason.

In the pass, urban stream in Chiangmai is a network to distribute water from Ping river this urban stream is called “Lum Muang”. Nowaday, most of this system is destroyed by urbanization process.. This is the cause of water runoff problem, flooding and water pollution in Chiangmai. This project is aimed to restore “Lum Muang” to fix water problem in Chiangmai and improve quality of life in Chiangmai.x

In the past, when the rain drop. Most of water is store in trees and different type plant (in leafs, branch, trunk). After that the left water will drop into the ground, tree will help to improve the inďŹ ltration rate. And after that when water is already soak into the ground trees will absorb that quantity of water into themselves. Lastly Trees release water into the atmosphere by respiration process. So tree is the key to reduse water runoff on the surface. But these process was destroyed.

Irrigation canal will receive all of the volume of water that ow from Sutheb mountain that conduct water to closed drainage system. This make waste water increse. Then to recovery lum muang we hae to conduct water across this concreat irrigation chanal to open ditch, dranage system

This type of stream locate on the Sutheb mountainit is flow very fas, because the slope inthis area is steeper than another zone. This type will not flow through the city but flow throug the forest. This stream shouldn't flow into irrigation chanal
