The Green Knight

KGF Chapter 2 is directed by Prashanth Neel and stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj. Look for it in cinemas on July 16.

Gangubai Kathiawadi
Summer of Soul Summer Of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) is a feature documentary about the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which celebrated African American music and culture, and promoted Black pride and unity. Rapper and musician Questlove directs the film which features Chris Rock, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stevie Wonder, and Nina Simone. The film releases on July 2.
Jungle Cruise
Based on Disneyland’s theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles but with a supernatural element. The action, comedy and fantasy movie, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramírez, and Jesse Plemons. It hits the theaters beginning July 30.
Joe Bell Mark Wahlberg stars in this true story of a small town, working class father who embarks on a solo walk across the U.S. to crusade against bullying after his son is tormented in high school for being gay. Director Reinaldo Marcus Green guides the cast that also includes Connie Britton, Morgan Lily, and Gary Sinise. The film releases on July 23. Saathee.com
Veteran director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new film Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on the book “Mafia Queens of Mumbai” written by S. Hussain Zaidi. The movie showcases the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad in Gujarat who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favor through her defiant, independent nature. The movie stars Alia Bhatt as Gangubai along with Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, and Seema Pahwa. The movie will be released worldwide on July 30.

Action Scenes of upcoming Heropanti 2 to be Filmed in Russia
The sequel to Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti is directed by Ahmed Khan. According to reports, the team will head to Russia to film key action sequences. Starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the crew will begin shooting in Moscow followed by work in St. Petersburg. According to reports, filmmakers have approached several stunt designers, including Martin Ivano who is known for his work in Skyfall (2012), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), and The Bourne Supremacy (2004).” Heropanti was Tiger Shroff’s debut film and made him a superstar. No release date has been announced for the sequel.
