A GIFT FOR YOUR CHILD LASTS A LIFETIME • Every gift counts – large or small. Please join the faculty and staff, members of the Board of Trustees and Parent Council in helping us achieve 100% participation from the HDS community. • Your philanthropy has a direct impact on the school, the faculty and staff and your child. • Annual Giving helps to provide our students with leading edge educational tools and programs such as dedicated learning specialists, robotics, Chinese language and enhanced math classes, comprehensive music, art and drama programs as well as outdoor education and special enrichment programs.
• Tuition only covers a portion of the cost of running our school. The remaining expenses are made up through the generosity of your giving. We rely on the funds raised through Annual Giving to underwrite theshortfall between tuition and our actual per capita educational costs. This year that number is $600 per child, or approximately $245,000. • Funds from the Annual Giving campaign will enable us to continue our exceptional enrichment programs for both students and parents. These programs are what truly separate HDS from all other schools. • Children thrive at HDS, individually and in our family-centric atmosphere

• Each class that reaches 100% participation will be awarded a free-dress Friday. • Each class that reaches 90% participation will be awarded an ice cream or pizza party for the entire class.Gifts from families with more than one child at school will be split evenly between the grades. • All community members donating or pledging $2,000 or more will be invited to a special evening to celebrate “A Gift for Your Child” at Abalone Cove on June 2, 2009.
