A GIFT FOR YOUR CHILD LASTS A LIFETIME • Every gift counts – large or small. Please join the faculty and staff, members of the Board of Trustees and Parent Council in helping us achieve 100% participation from the HDS community. • Your philanthropy has a direct impact on the school, the faculty and staff and your child. • Annual Giving helps to provide our students with leading edge educational tools and programs such as dedicated learning specialists, robotics, Chinese language and enhanced math classes, comprehensive music, art and drama programs as well as outdoor education and special enrichment programs.
• Tuition only covers a portion of the cost of running our school. The remaining expenses are made up through the generosity of your giving. We rely on the funds raised through Annual Giving to underwrite the shortfall between tuition and our actual per capita educational costs. This year that number is $600 per child, or approximately $245,000. • Funds from the Annual Giving campaign will enable us to continue our exceptional enrichment programs for both students and parents. These programs are what truly separate HDS from all other schools. • Children thrive at HDS, individually and in our family centered atmosphere.

A GIFT FOR YOUR CHILD
• Contributions to the Annual Fund will go directly towards the acquisition of the priority items on the Head of School’s Wish List to enhance the educational experience at HDS. • All gifts of any size will be listed in the Beacon and the Annual Report in the appropriate category. • Each class that reaches 90% participation will be awarded their choice of an ice cream/ pizza party or a free-dress Friday. • All community members donating or pledging $2,000 or more will be invited to a special evening to celebrate “A Gift for Your Child” at Abalone Cove on June 3, 2010.
