A recap of how volunteers are involved
Volunteers help turn into a
a large empty space
professional showcase for scholars
Prep work After Ms. Rodriguez selects pieces, some work is matted and then mounted on black boards. Name tags, signs, programs, and more also need to be created before the show.
On the day of the show, artwork, easles, tables, decorations, and supplies are transported to the venue. Volunteers set up displays and directional signs, take everything down, clean the space, and bring it all back to the school.
during the show Volunteers run the refreshment and welcome tables, photo booth, and art stations. In the past, art stations have included free drawing, painting and print making, and paper sculptures (which requires volunteers to slice strips of constuction paper before the show).
Volunteer this year! Ms. Rodriguez is calling for all volunteers (especially first grade families) who can help prep scholar artwork for the April 26 show at Industry City. Please reach out to her directly with your available times.
