This fundraiser has helped to raise funds for Devonshire PALS (Police Activities League Supporters) to build a brand new, fully equipped and staffed Youth Center in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, which opened last year.

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF THE WEST VALLEY The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of West Valley is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The West Valley Club provides after-school and summer camp programs annually for more than 2800 children and their families at six locations in Canoga Park, Reseda and Northridge. Programs include homework assistance, tutoring, art, music, dance, computers, education and career development, health and life skills, sports and fitness, and leadership and character development programs. Eighty-one percent of the families live below the poverty level and 45% come from single-parent homes. The Club provides a “Positive Place for Kids”.

DEVONSHIRE PALS (POLICE ACTIVITY LEAGUE SUPPORTERS) The LAPD Devonshire Police Activity League Supporters, better known as Devonshire PALS, is highly effective at deterring gangs and preventing crime. For more than 30 years, PALS has provided after school and weekend enrichment programs, for at-risk children and teens, that build strong, positive relationships between youth and the Los Angeles Police Department.

PALS promotes trust and understanding between young people and police officers by bringing youth under the supervision and constructive influence of dedicated law enforcement professionals.
