Empowerment for the Orange Farm community

he community of Orange Farm is set to benefit from a craft skills development programme that was organised by the department in collaboration with “Isifiso Sabantu Arts, Culture and Heritage Services Organisation through a project called “The African Tale through the eyes of craft”.

The three-day training programme saw trainees acquiring skills in a variety of beadwork artistry, which enables them to go into the entrepreneurial sector having gained these skills, thus furthering job creation.

Isifiso Sabantu Arts, Culture and Heritage Services Organisation is one of the recipients of the Grants-In-Aid funding for the 2022/23 financial year. The department invests in arts and culture organisations in order to showcase, harness and preserve our heritage.
