Our Vision for winemaking has always been clear – first and foremost, enjoyment and drinkability! Our Philosophy has been consistent - carefully select and harvest small-batch parcels of the highest quality fruit and then, with a gentle hand, produce wines of premium quality… Elegant, well balanced and fruit driven. As a proud multi-regional producer we continually focus on celebrating each region’s unique terroir. In crafting Alessandro Reserve, we source the highest quality fruit from renowned viticultural regions. The vineyards are located on prime land, planted with superior clones, which we know yield intense flavour. Each super premium parcel of fruit is given an identical winemaking approach, one of minimal intervention. The results are a collection of wines where the natural and unique characteristics of the each vineyard, the variety and their superb growing conditions are expressed in the finished wine. Distinct, fine and rare.

Collection Crafted for everyday drinking… wines made to be enjoyed now, perfect for any occasion! The Saddler’s Collection are multi-regional contemporary wines. Crafted to be approachable, drink now styles. Featuring a stella line up of Hunter Valley classics including Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Rose and Shiraz. Premium red wines include Pinot Noir from cool climate Tumbarumba and Shiraz Viognier from Langhorne Creek SA. These wines are the perfect go to wine with any mid week meal.

Ryan’s Reserve is crafted in collaboration with winemaker, Phil Ryan, who has achieved legend status within the Australian Wine Industry and continues to inspire the Saddler’s Creek winemakers. Saddler’s Creek Wines signature style is prominent in the Ryan’s Reserve collection reflecting the terroir of the fruit and collaboration as well as the expertise of the winemakers. Ryan’s Reserve are hand crafted, predominantly Hunter Valley single vineyard premium wines. Offered in small batches limited to just 125 cases of each varietal.

From our maturation cellar, we hand select just five barriques to produce this very limited and exclusive release. Each barrique showed a uniqueness of flavour and richness along with a pronounced length of palate, the qualities that are essential in super premium wines of noble varieties. Our wines are crafted by a team of three highly skilled winemakers who bring a combined 70 plus years of vineyard management and winemaking experience to you - all driven by the love of great wine and a passion for crafting it. As a winemaking team we are constantly refining our skills and exploring innovative methods while honouring traditional winemaking techniques.
BRETT WOODWARD Head winemaker Growing up on his family’s vineyard in Pokolbin. Brett’s childhood weekends were spent in the vineyard with 4.30am starts during vintage time. “After school I was busy cleaning the buckets and tractor ready to do it all again the next day”. He studied a Masters of Oenology (winemaking) at Adelaide University and joined the Saddler's team in 2011. Brett has been a finalist 3 years running for Winemaker of the Year and Rising Star with Hunter Valley Legends Awards.
PHIL RYAN Consultant winemaker With over 50 years winemaking experience and International wine show judge, Phil was recognised for his contribution to the industry and honored the award of the prestigious Graham Gregory Trophy and Hunter Valley Living Legend award. He has been a consultant with Saddler's Creek since 2012.
SAM RUPIT Assistant winemaker After working as a winemaker's assistant at The Charles Sturt Uni Boutique and Research winery, I discovered that simply drinking wine wouldn't be enough. After completing my Bachelor of Agriculture Science, I immediately jumped into studying a Bachelor of Wine Science. I moved to Lerida Estate in Canberra and then First Creek in the Hunter Valley before finding my way to Saddlers Creek, my new home away from home.
