One of the games at this year’s Holiday Day circle was “Pin the Nose on Rudolph!” The kids had a lot of fun spinning around and even laughing When they missed! Thanks to Recognition Committee For creating such a cute Rudolph!

EDITOR’S LETTER Hi guys! I am sosoosososoSOOOO excited that it is finally December! Long breaks, snow days, ugly Christmas sweaters, ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas, hot chocolate, I could honestly go on forever. There are so many great things about not only the holiday season, but the service season! Along with December comes our Key Club’s annual Holiday Circle! Holiday Circle is an event held at Davenport Elementary School for little kids that go there. The day consists of fun games and lots of dancing and food. I will proudly say that Holiday Circle is my favorite Key Club event ever! This year has upheld my love for this event and went flawlessly. Thanks to Cody Kiedaisch for being our Santa Claus this year! I hope none of the kids see this, do kids even believe in Santa these days? Also, thanks to Major Emphasis and Advocacy Committee for preserving the great Holiday Circle and providing some delicious pretzels. Shoutout to whoever made those peppermint cookies, I love you. PRESIDENT’S + OTHER MESSAGES PRESIDENT’S LETTER Dear Key Clubbers!, I hope everyone is just as excited as I am for Winter break! The new year is coming, and that only means that we have new projects and possibilities coming up with our club. Elections will be coming up real soon, so if you are interested for a club or district position, please contact me or an officer as soon as possible! It is a great way to gain leadership and communication skills as well as making friends. I would also like to mention that Holiday Circle was amazing, and I would like to thank our Major Emphasis/ Advocacy committee for making this all possible. It truly was a wonderful event, and I'm glad that we were able to continue this annual event for another year! Thank you for everyone who came out to volunteer for this event and also to those who donated food/drinks. This wouldn't have been possible without your generosity. Our next event will be Volleyball-A-Thon, and I know everyone is looking forward to that! It would be great if you could all start thinking about creating teams together. Remember that it is first come, first serve, and we only have a limited number of teams that we are able to accept. I hope that everyone has an amazing winter break and ends up being refreshed ready to participate in more projects for 2015!

LTG

One of the great things about Key Club is all of the leadership opportunities it provides! A very important and greatly coveted position in the Key Club hierarchy is Lieutenant Governor. The job of the LTG is to be the messenger of sorts for High School Key Clubs and Kiwanis. Every LTG is assigned a district that contains a couple of High Schools. These schools become a family of sorts under the care of their governor. Being the Lieutenant Governor of a district requires a lot of organization and public speaking skills. Running means that you are ready to take responsibility for a whole district. Although elec-

tions are a little ways away, it is never too early to begin preparing! Even if you run and don’t get the position, the experience itself will allow you to run for another leadership position when the club’s elections come up! Winning the election isn't always going to happen but the experience you’ll get from it will definitely help you greatly in the future! If you’re interested in this position, feel free to contact any of the officers with questions and also make sure to speak to Dianna Torres, our current Division 1B LTG! (pictured to the right)

MAJOR EVENTS

HOLIDAY CIRCLE Holiday Circle is one of the biggest events that our Key Club holds every year. It is an event held at Davenport Elementary School for the kids that go there. They spend the whole day playing not only with their friends, but with Santa Claus and a lot of our volunteers! The event itself started at 9 o’clock and included freeze dancing, Santa Says, and many other games! There were also a lot of arts and crafts stations that were around the cafeteria! Stations such as snowman popcorn cups and reindeer food making were a hit! I asked many little kids if they were having fun and all of them agreed and were excited to come next year! It’s great to see that our club has continued to make Holiday Circle a memorable event for not only the elementary school goers, but the volunteers that participate in the event! Thanks to everyone who also came in to setup at 7 am and stayed after to help cleanup! I hope to see you all again next year, I know I’ll definitely be there!
