Ourania
Ourania, meaning heavenly, is one of the many nicknames of the goddess Aphrodite. The goddess of love, fertility, and beauty. The infamous statue of Aphrodite provides a realistic expectation of what bodies look like. Overtime the expectations of bodies has changed and this statue reminds us that all bodies are natural and beautiful. Choosing soft, warm hues and textures, the spaces keep a feeling of warmth and comfort. The use of curves in architecture, flooring, and furniture brings in a sense of movement. Incorporating natural selections, as well as natural light, aids in helping to keep patients and guests calm and the range of colors used provides a deep and interesting contrast throughout spaces.
