These events are the result of ExCITE '16, “Emergency Medicine X: Creating Innovations Towards Equity (ExCITE)”. Using a “Shark Tank” format AWAEM invited “entrepreneurs” who pitched diversity-enhancing innovations to 3 chairs who were our “investors.” (Zink, Sadosty, and Sokolove) Innovations could include programs to strengthen the mentorship, recruitment, retention or advancement of those in groups traditionally underrepresented in EM (women, racial and ethnic groups). Consider submitting an idea for ExCITE '18. And if you are a chair who is brave enough to be an "investor," please contact Neha Raukar (neha_raukar@brown.edu).
