FRIDAY NIGHT OPENING EVENT
Career! Life! Goals! Summertime!
GET THE JOB
By Teddy Vincent
Friday, July 12th 7:00pm The 2013 SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory Summer Intensive at AFI is focusing on the old adage: the job in Hollywood is to get the job. To that end, we are thrilled to present a panel of experts (please see bios) on that subject. They work as casting directors, teachers, coaches, directors, agents, and actors. They are a panel of "new age" gurus when it comes to helping actors in the current Hollywood landscape get better at booking jobs. Please join us for this once-in-a-lifetime Q & A with these renowned masters of the business of show biz in show biz.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT REGISTRATION In order to help make your registration process go smoothly we have a few simple suggestions. REGISTRATION BEGINS MONDAY, JULY 1ST @10AM Please be patient when you call to register. Remember we only have a limited number of phones and lines to help serve you. We spend the same amount of time with each caller and we are getting to each of you as fast as we possibly can.
Please know that if you call and it goes to voicemail (or rings busy) it simply means that we are on the other lines and handling the callers in the order that they come in. At that point, please hang up and try calling back. We understand this process can be frustrating, but please try to be patient. We are handling the calls as best we can.
Please make sure you have your list of classes in front of you along with back-up selections in case your first choice is filled.
If you would like to attend the Friday opening event, YOU MUST register for that as well.
Reservations are only accepted over the phone. We DO NOT take registration in our office due to the high volume of calls, so please do not stop by the office, as you will only get turned away.
Time to stop, take a breath and evaluate! Are we on track? What are our goals? Is our plan moving us forward? The SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory is one of your tools. How can we help the individual actor? We do not provide comprehensive training. But we do provide information and opportunities to find comprehensive training that is just right for you. We do provide the actor with an acting gym to keep your skills sharp and ready for that next audition through our weekly workshops... We do provide networking opportunities with industry professionals through Special Events, and Actors Evenings. We do provide a safe place to try new things through our open camera workshop. We do provide the opportunity to work with the next generation of film makers through our affiliation with AFI. The young film makers of AFI want the best actors available for their projects. We want to provide them with professional, committed and well trained actors. We do provide a whole weekend of information, networking opportunities, introductions to new concepts, opportunities, friends and teachers through our Summer Seminar. Keep your skills fresh and viable by participating in the full program at The SAG-AFTRA CONSERVATORY and the 2013 SUMMER INTENSIVE.
