Chicago Local Membership Meeting When: 6 p.m. (social hour) 7 p.m. Monday, May 22 (meeting) Where: Instituto Cervantes of Chicago 31 W. Ohio Street Chicago, IL 60654 Watch The Activator for announcement of special guests and meeting details. This meeting is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. Unfortunately, no guests allowed. Parents/guardians of younger performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA members, please bring your membership card (paid through April 30, 2017 or Oct. 31, 2017) for admittance. New Member Orientation - Tuesday, April 18 New members represent the future for SAG-AFTRA. The more knowledgeable they are, the stronger our union and all members are. The goal of the New Members Subcommittee of SAGAFTRA Chicago's Community Outreach, Community Organizing committee is to educate, engage and empower professional actors from the moment they become union members. New member orientations are not just for new members. Whether you joined yesterday or 20 years ago, all members in good standing are welcome. Special singing opportunity to be announced soon ... very soon. 2017 National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive The Chicago Local is currently collecting nonperishable food items for the 2017 NALC Food Drive. These donations will help to serve many food banks in the Chicago area. We are one of many unions that will be collecting items at their union halls. Last year, 13 unions collected over 130,000 pounds of food for food banks. Here's how you can help: Bring nonperishable food items with you when you stop by the Chicago Local and KMRC. Or, put your nonperishable food items in a bag and leave it by your mailbox on Saturday, May 13. Your letter carrier will deliver your donation to area food banks. Please be sure to spread the word! One act of kindness births infinite possibilities. TV Weekend Chicago: From Concept to Studio Deal - Creative Cypher Discount Included Early registration ends April 10 Regular registration: April 11 - May 1 Join fellow creatives for the ISA Masters Series seminar, where you'll learn the tools to develop a TV pilot from concept to pitch, so you can land that studio deal or get staffed on a show.
