SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local singer members: Details for a special singing opportunity will be announced Monday at the SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local's annual membership meeting. SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local audiobook narrators: The SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local Audiobook Committee is a first-time exhibitor at this year's Printer's Row Lit Festival on June 10-11. Committee members will be doing outreach and education to attendees on the benefits and ease of utilizing union narrators for audiobooks and much more. Stay tuned for more details.
Everything You Wanted to Know About Low Budget Contracts but Were Afraid to Ask Has your friend asked you to be in their next web series? Have you been working on student films? Do you enjoy working with local filmmakers on short and ultra low budget productions? Are you making your own short, feature or webisode? All of these require that the production be under a union contract. If you work on these type of productions and want more information on your rights, how to flip a non-union production into a union production or what the paperwork looks like, then this is a must-attend event for you. When: 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 23 Dinner will be served. Where: SAG-AFTRA 1 E.
