Tonight - SAG-AFTRA Conservatory Presents Conversations with Christian Stolte, Mickie Paskal and Jennifer Rudnicke 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, June 30 KMRC 1 East Erie, Suite 660 Chicago, IL 60611 Chris Stolte started out as a casting associate and has landed himself on NBC as a series regular on Chicago Fire. Come learn how he did it. Mickie Paskal and Jennifer Rudnicke of PR Casting will offer advice on how to prepare for an audition, what to do once you are in the room or if you feel like you've "blown it," and more helpful tips. Thanks to the computer software Parallels, you can access Windows 7 or Mac's Mountian Lion operating system on any one of the computers in the KMRC. You must be a SAG-AFTRA or AEA member in good standing to use the center. Tidbits for Actors If you ever find yourself at a session and your contract doesn't look quite right - special provisions, platform/usage is different than what your agent told you - take a moment to ask the producer to send the contract to your agent to "proofread" before you sign. July Performance of the SAG-AFTRA Senior Radio Players On Tuesday, July 22, the Senior Radio Players are presenting three shows: The Romance of Helen Trent, Lights Out and Jack Armstrong, the All-American Boy. 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.) Tuesday, July 22 Claudia Cassidy Theater at the Chicago Cultural Center 77 E. Randolph (at Michigan) Admission is free, however seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Union Day at the Chicago White Sox Aug. 31 is Union Day at U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox are offering specially priced tickets to union members, their families and friends. After a 30-50 percent discount, tickets range from $5 to $25.
