These donations will help to serve many food banks in the Chicago area. We are one of many unions that will be collecting items at their union halls. Last year, 13 unions collected over 130,000 pounds of food for food banks. You can help by bringing nonperishable food items with you when you stop by the Chicago Local or put your nonperishable food items in a bag and leaving it by your mailbox on Saturday, May 12. Your letter carrier will deliver your donation to area food banks. Please be sure to spread the word. One act of kindness births infinite possibilities.
