welcome Courses, Classes and Workshops If you’re looking to get involved in music making at any level: beginner, experienced, or advanced – whether learning an instrument, joining a band, or taking part in a singing group, there’s something for everyone here. Sing, Play and Dance sessions for babies and young children with their families; a Saturday School for young musicians; and Adult and Silver programmes where you can learn with our inspiring musicians in a relaxed, friendly and supportive group of like-minded people. Enrol now, meet other budding musicians and begin your musical journey, whatever your chosen instrument or style! Our very welcoming and relaxed venue offers the perfect place for you to meet with fellow participants for coffee and cake before or after your class making your regular visit to us not just about music learning but much more than that. Often you’ll find there are music performances taking place in the cafe, sometimes even by peers from other groups and if you still haven’t had enough music then you could continue your time with us by attending a concert in Sage One or Sage Two – there’s bound to be something you’ll enjoy.

A non-auditioned a cappella choir for 13–18 year olds. Presented by Swing Bridge Singers This young choir sings in gorgeous close harmony under the direction of Andrew Scott. Each class will receive one session on the subject of regional heritage using archives and historic collections, brought to life through performance and learning.

The Magenta Singers are a group for people of any age who are living with acquired aphasia, run in association with the NETA Aphasia Support Centre. Music Therapy 1:1 Music therapy is a specialist use of music to help people. For some it has physical benefits, for others emotional or social ones. Our qualified Music Therapists are experienced in helping people with a range of challenges including autism, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury, depression and lifethreatening or terminal illness. Steel Pan group for beginners.
We have seven Steel Pan Bands within the Silver Programme and each group plays its own set of popular repertoire. You can progress from the Silver beginners group or from another steel pan group. Each group learns a different repertoire so you may need to catch up with old repertoire as well as learning new tunes. Opera d’argento
Wednesday 3 - 4.30pm
The chance to sing songs from operas, operettas, opera choruses and arias with occasional classical and sacred pieces and traditional folk songs. Suitable for anyone who can follow a part.
