Regular Classes
Musical Bumps It’s never too early to get into music! Sing to your bump, learn lullabies to soothe the baby when it arrives, and enjoy gentle yoga and informal chat with an ‘active birth’ focus in these six week courses of two-hour sessions for pregnant women. Subsidised by Gateshead Adult Learning. Tickets: £28.80 for the course
Babies Babble, Play and Move (0-12 months)
Start a musical journey with your baby in these magical interactive music-making sessions especially for little ones under 12 months, led by our dedicated Early Years team. Activities learnt in sessions support your baby’s development through music and movement, and can easily be used at home. Under 5s Sing, Play and Dance (0-4 year olds)
Join in the fun with our friendly specialist musicians as they delight and engage budding young musicians in singing, movement and music-making. Designed to support your child in developing essential musical and social skills, whilst giving the whole family lots of new ideas for songs to sing and games to play at home. Planet Music (5-7 year olds) Blast off on an exciting adventure of musical discovery! These classes promote the development of musical skills such as singing, pitch awareness, rhythm and movement in an engaging, fun and playful way. Tickets: ÂŁ3 per person (second child half price)

Fun-filled family concerts and activities Winter Wonderings
Saturday 25th January, Hall Two, 2pm-3pm An enchanting show with songs, puppetry and theatre set in a magical snowy wood. Come on an adventure with Shula as she journeys through fairy tales, meeting characters on her way. Expect old favourites and some new friends too! Performed by Claire Tustin, Sharon Durant and Alison McGowan. Suitable for ages 3-7. Tickets: £5.50 per person
Sing a Song of Science
Saturday 22nd March, Hall Two, 2pm-3pm Jamie is stressed about school work, trying to remember facts about plants, animals and chemical reactions - until some unusual scientists come to lend a hand! Join them as they learn some fun, catchy science songs to help Jamie ace the test. Suitable for ages 7-11. Tickets: £5.50 per person
Early Years Big Family Hop
Wednesday 9th April, The Barbour Room, 10am-11am, 11.30am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-2.30pm Let’s go to the hop! Come and join specialist musicians from our Early Years team to celebrate the arrival of spring with a huge helping of Easter themed fun, song and dance especially chosen for families to get involved. Why not come wearing your party best and your finest Easter bunny ears? Suitable for under 7s. Tickets: £2.50 per person

Jazz Toons: Top Cats, Action Men and Incredible Super Heroes
Sunday 6th April, Hall One, 3pm-4pm Bring the family along to enjoy the wackiest music from Toon Town, featuring cartoon music madness from your favourite family films and animations including The Muppet Show, Looney Toons and The Incredibles. Suitable for ages 5+. Presented by The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra. Part of Gateshead International Jazz Festival 2014. Tickets: £10 (adults), £5 (children up to age 12)
