Strømkilde • Bruk kun strømforsyningen som fulgte med produktet. Hvis du bruker en uautorisert strømforsyning vil dette ugyldiggjøre garantien og det kan ugjenkallelig skade produktet. • Koble radioen fra strømnettet under tordenvær. • Sjekk alltid at du har slått helt av radioen, før du endrer eller kobler fra strømforsyningen. • Der hvor strømuttaket eller apparatets koblingsledning brukes som frakoblingsenhet, må frakoblingsenheten hele tiden være klar til bruk. • Hvis radioen ikke skal brukes over en lengre periode, sørg for at alle batteriene fjernes fra batterirommet og at strømmen er koblet fra. • Bruk bare anbefalte batterier eller batterier av samme eller tilsvarende type. • Ikke bland gamle og nye batterier eller batterier av forskjellig type. • Batteriene skal settes inn med riktig polaritet. • Forsyningsterminalene må ikke bli kortsluttet. • Fjern batteriene fra radioen dersom de ikke skal brukes i en lengre periode. • Kast aldri batterier i ild eller forsøke og åpne det ytre dekselet/beskyttelsen. 4
Sikkerhetsinformasjon • Batterier er farlige ved svelging, så hold de langt unna små barn. • Generelt sett bør batteriladere og strømforsyninger i minst mulig grad være tilkoblet strømnettet om natten eller når du ikke er hjemme. Alle POP-produkter er CEgodkjente og sertifiserte.
Fuktighet og vann • Hold den tørr. Unngå eksponering for nedbør, fuktighet og væsker som kan påvirke produktets kretser. • Ikke la radioen stå i lave temperaturer der fuktighet kan dannes inne i produktet, noe som kan skade kretskortet.
Ventilasjon • Ikke blokker eller tildekk spor, hull eller åpninger på produktet ved å plassere radioen på myke møbler som tepper eller senger, da disse er gitt for funksjonalitet og/eller ventilasjon for å sikre trygg bruk av produktet.
Varmekilder og flammer • Ikke la radioen stå i høye temperaturer, da elektroniske enheter og plastdeler kan deformeres i varmen. • Hold den unna sterkt sollys eller varmekilder, som f.eks. radiatorer/ovner.

Bli kjent med din POPurban Plassering av din DAB+/FM-radio med Bluetooth Vennligst tenkt nøye igjennom hvor du vil plassere radioen din, og forsikre deg om at det er: • på en flat og stabil overflate. • maksimum 1,4 meter fra en stikkontakt (hvis du skal bruke strømnettet). Vennligst forsikre deg om at ledningen ikke er en snublefare. • minst 1 meter unna andre elektriske apparater for å unngå forstyrrelser. • på et sted der den vil være innenfor rekkevidde fra den tilkoblede eller ‘sammenkoblede’ Bluetooth-enheten (eksempelvis iPod/iPhone/iPad/Android/ • annen telefon/datamaskin, som er omtrent 10 meter eller mindre (33 fot eller mindre) i siktlinje. • på et sted der du kan fullt forlenge teleskopantennen. • Aldri plasser radioen direkte på en antikk eller polert overflate.
Strømtilkobling 1. Koble strømledningen i kontakten på baksiden av radioen og forleng teleskopantennen fullt ut i vertikal stilling for å oppnå maksimal signalstyrke. 2. Koble strømadapteren inn i stikkontakten og slå på radioen. 3. Skyv På/Av-bryteren på baksiden av radioen til På. Skjermen lyser og ‘Velkommen til Digital Radio’ vil vises, før radioen går i Ventemodus. Merk: Når du bruker batterier for å gi strøm til radioen og du skyver På/Av-bryteren på baksiden av radioen til På, vil skjermen lyse opp, og ‘Velkommen til Digital Radio’ vises. Radioen begynner automatisk å søke etter DAB-stasjoner. Ventemodus finnes ikke når du driver radioen på batterier.

Bli kjent med din POPurban Innsetting av batterier (valgfritt) 1. Før du setter inn batterier (ikke inkludert) må du sørge for at radioen er slått av (skyv strømbryteren på baksiden til Off/Av), og koble fra strømforsyningen. Husk å fjerne støpselet fra baksiden av radioen. 2. På baksiden av radioen, trykk ned tappene for å frigjøre og fjerne batteridekselet. 3. Sett inn 4 x 1.5V AA-batterier (også kjent som LR6), og vær oppmerksom på merkingen av ‘+’ og ‘-’ og plasser batteriene riktig vei..
4. Sett på plass batteridekselet og pass på at den “klikker” på plass, slik at den blir ordentlig stengt. Merk: For å drive radioen på batterier, forsikre deg om at hovedstrømmen er slått av og fjerne strømadapteren på baksiden av radioen.

Bruke POPurban Teleskopantenne Vennligst forsikre deg om at teleskopantennen er strukket helt ut før du slår på radioen og prøver å søke etter radiostasjoner (vertikal stilling anbefales). Dette vil sikre at maksimal signalstyrke er tilgjengelig når radioen starter søket. Utstrekking av teleskopantennen sikrer også at du får best mulig lydkvalitet.
Slå på 1. Trykk på Power-knappen på toppen av radioen. Radioen slås på og begynner et automatisk søk etter DAB-stasjoner. En fremdriftslinje viser fremdriften for skanningen og antall stasjoner funnet under skanningen. Merk: Når du bruker radioen på batterier, vil radioen søke etter DAB-stasjoner etter du har skjøvet On/Off-bryteren til On/På baksiden av radioen. Ventemodus er ikke tilgjengelig når du driver radioen på batterier. 2. Når skanningen er fullført vil radioen velge den første tilgjengelige stasjonen å begynne og spille. Stasjonene er oppført i numerisk og deretter alfabetisk rekkefølge som standard. Merk: DAB-stasjonslisten er lagret i minnet, så neste gang du slår på radioen, vil ikke kanalsøket finne sted. Det er mulig å søke manuelt etter stasjoner ved å trykke på Scanknappen.
Justere volumet • Vri med klokken for å øke volumet. • Vri mot klokken for å senke volumet. • Skjermen vil bekrefte voluminnstillingen.
Endre modus Trykk på Mode-knappen for å bytte mellom modusene DAB, FM og Bluetooth. Vennligst sjekk skjermen, den vil bekrefte modusen.

Bruke POPurban Koble til en Bluetooth-enhet Forsikre deg om at radioen er i Bluetooth-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i Bluetoothmodus, trykk på Mode-knappen gjentatte ganger til du er i Bluetooth-modus (sjekk skjermen). ’Ikke tilkoblet’ vil vises på skjermen. I Bluetooth-modus: 1. ’Ikke tilkoblet...’ vil vises på skjermen. 2. Slå på Bluetooth på enheten du vil koble til POPurban (f.eks. iPhone/iPad/Android/ andre telefoner/Nettbrett/datamaskiner) og forsikre deg om at den er ’synlig’. Merk: Hvis det er nødvendig, referer til bruksanvisningen til enheten du prøver å koble til for å legge til eller konfigurere Bluetooth. 3. Velg ’Legg til ny enhet’, hvis nødvendig. Merk: Noen produkter vil automatisk søke etter nye enheter og derfor vil ikke ’Legg til ny enhet’ være en mulighet. 4. Når den blir funnet, vil radioen vises som ’POPurban’. Velg enhetens navn for å starte sammenkoblingen. 5. Når paringen er ferdig, vil ’Tilkoblet’ vises på skjermen og et lydsignal vil spilles. 6. Nå som du har sammenkoblet enheten din med radioen, vil den koble seg til radioen automatisk når den er innenfor rekkevidde (ca. 10 meter/33 fot eller mindre) 7. Enheten din vil forbli sammenkoblet med radioen helt til du eventuelt kobler den fra eller ’fjerner paring’. Merk: Du kan trykke og holde inne Scan-knappen i 3 sekunder for å koble fra din nåværende enhet og søke etter nye enheter.
Klokkeslett og dato Første gang du lytter til DAB-radioen din, vil klokkeslett og dato bli automatisk synkronisert til 24-timersmodus; som er i tråd med sommertid, så det er ikke nødvendig å stille inn dato og klokkeslett manuelt. Hvis du ønsker å angi klokkeslett og dato manuelt, slår du på radioen og følger trinnene nedenfor: 11

Trykk på Select-knappen. ’Tid lagret’ vises og skjermen returnerer til Klokkeslett/Dato. Du kan nå bruke Prev og Next, sammen med Select-knappen, slik du gjorde for å stille klokkeslett og dato, for å endre innstillingene for: • Auto-oppdatering for å oppdatere klokkeslett automatisk etter DAB-signal, FM-signal, DAB- eller FM-signal eller ingen oppdatering. • Still inn 12/24 timersformat • Still inn Datoformat, dd-mm-åååå eller mm-dd-åååå
Bruke hodetelefoner Du kan koble hodetelefoner med 3,5 mm plugg (ikke inkludert) til radioen. Stereo hodetelefonutgangen finner du nederst på baksiden av radioen. Når du har hodetelefoner koblet til radioen, blir radioens høyttalere slått av, og all lyd kommer via hodetelefonene. Merk: Volumet skal alltid være innenfor rimelighetens grenser.
DAB-modus Kontroller at radioen er i DAB-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i DAB-modus, trykk på Mode-knappen for å gå til DAB-modus (sjekk skjermen).

Bruke POPurban Første gang du bruker radioen eller hvis stasjonslisten er tom, vil radioen automatisk begynne og søke etter DAB-stasjoner. En fremdriftslinje viser fremdriften for skanningen og antall stasjoner funnet under skanningen. Hvis du lyttet til en DAB-stasjon da du slo av radioen, vil denne stasjonen velges automatisk når du slår på radioen igjen.
Bytte DAB-stasjon 1. Trykk på Next og Prev for å bla deg gjennom de tilgjengelige stasjonene. 2. Når stasjonen du ønsker å lytte til vises på skjermen, trykker du på Select-knappen for å velge. Det vil være en kort pause mens radioen din gjør klar avspillingen fra den valgte stasjonen.
Søke/skanne etter DAB-stasjoner Med en DAB-radio blir stadig flere stasjoner og tjenester tilgjengelige, så det er en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning nå og da for å være sikker på at du har den mest oppdaterte stasjonslisten lagret i minnet på radioen. Hvis du har flyttet radioen til et annet sted, for eksempel hvis du drar på ferie, så er det også en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning. I DAB-modus 1. Trykk på ’Scan’-knappen for å starte et søk etter stasjoner. Skjermen vil endres til ’Scanner...’
Renske DAB-stasjoner Du kan fjerne DAB-stasjonene i stasjonslisten som ikke kan mottas i ditt område. Disse er oppført med forstavelsen ’?’ I DAB-modus: 1. Trykk og hold inne Menu/Info-knappen for å komme inn i Menyen. 2. Trykk på Next-knappen for å bla deg til Renske. Trykk på Select-knappen. 3. Fortsett med å renske stasjoner Ja <Nei> vises. Trykk på Prev-knappen for å bla til Ja. Trykk på Select-knappen for å bekrefte og renske stasjonslisten. Stasjoner med forstavelsen ’?’ vil nå ikke lenger vises.

Bruke POPurban Lagre en forvalgt DAB-favorittstasjon Radioen kan lagre opptil 10 DAB-stasjoner i sitt forhåndsinnstilte minne for umiddelbar tilgang til dine favorittstasjoner. 1. Sett radioen på den DAB-stasjonen du ønsker å forhåndsinnstille. 2. Trykk og hold inne Preset-knappen i ca. 2 sekunder helt til Lagret til forvalg og nummerlisten vises. 3. Trykk på Prev eller Nex for å bla deg til den forhåndsinnstilte plasseringen du ønsker å lagre radiostasjonen på (1-10). 4. Trykk på Select-knappen for å bekrefte. Forvalg X lagret, der ’X’ er nummeret på forhåndsinnstillingen (1-10), vil vises på skjermen. Merk: Hvis det allerede finnes en eksisterende DAB-stasjon lagret under et forvalg, vil den bli overskrevet når du lagrer den nye stasjonen.
Bytt til en forvalgt DAB-favorittstasjon I DAB-modus: 1. Trykk på Preset-knappen. Hent Forvalg vises på skjermen, sammen med den nummererte forhåndsinnstillingslisten og navnet eller frekvensen til stasjonen som er lagret der. Hvis ingen stasjon er lagret der, vil (Tom) vises på skjermen. 2. Trykk på Prev eller Next for å bla deg til den forhåndsinnstilte plasseringen og stasjonen du ønsker å lytte til (1-10). 3. Trykk på Select-knappen for å bekrefte. Radioen vil bytte til stasjonen du valgte og starte og spille. Merk: Hvis ingen DAB-stasjon har vært lagret under forvalgsknappen, vil ’Forvalg Tom’ vises og radioen vil gå tilbake til den tidligere valgte radiostasjonen.
DAB Skjerminformasjon Når du lytter til en DAB-stasjon kan du endre informasjonen som vises på skjermen. Det finnes ulike typer informasjon som sendes av kringkasteren.

Bruke POPurban • Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) -Dette er rullerende tekstinformasjon fra kringkasteren. Informasjonen kan være artistnavn, sangtittel, DJ-navn, kontaktinformasjon til radiostasjonen etc. • Programtype (PTY) – for eksempel ’Rock’, ’Pop’, ’Tale’ eller ’Nyheter’ • Multiplex Navn - viser kringkastingsområdet og en samling av radiostasjoner på denne frekvensen. For eksempel BBC National DAB, Digital 1 Network • Kanal og frekvens -for eksempel 12B 225.648 MHz • Signalfeil og styrke – signalfeilen vises på skjermen som et nummer mellom 0-99. Det vil ikke være tilfredsstillende og mulig å lytte til en radiostasjon med en signalfeilrate på 30 eller mer. Signalstyrken vises på skjermen som en rad av solide rektangler. To sorte linjer inni de solide rektanglene indikerer minimum signalstyrke for akseptabel lytting. Jo sterkere signal, jo lenger til høyre vil raden med solide rektangler være. Prøv å justere antennen eller flytt radioen til et annet sted for å bedre mottaket. • Signalinformasjon - datahastigheten på signalet som blir overført. • Strømkilde – hovedstrøm eller batteri. • Klokkeslett og dato - levert av kringkasteren. 1. Trykk på Menu/Info-knappen gjentatte ganger for å bla gjennom de forskjellige informasjonsalternativene.
Dynamic range control (DRC) I DAB-modus: Det dynamiske området for hvert radioprogram er satt av kringkasteren for hver enkelt radiostasjon og kan være forskjellig for hvert program, for eksempel pop, klassisk musikk eller tale. DRC-signalet sendes parallelt med lydsignalet for hvert program, og med radioen kan du bruke dette styresignalet til å utvide eller komprimere dynamikken (forskjellen mellom de høyeste og de mest stillegående lydene) av det reproduserte lydsignalet. Å endre det dynamiske området kan påvirke ’lydstyrken’ og/eller ’kvaliteten på lyden’ på programmet du hører, slik at det vil være mer egnet til dine lytteforhold og dine egne personlige lyttekrav. For eksempel i støyende omgivelser, hvor rolige lyder kan bli overbelastet, kan du sette komprimeringen til maksimalt. Dette vil gi en ’økning’ til de rolige lydene, mens du holder de sterkeste lydene på sitt opprinnelige nivå.

Bruke POPurban Det finnes 3 kompresjonsnivåer: • DRC Av - ingen kompresjon. Dette er standardinnstillingen. • DRC Lav - medium kompresjon. • DRC Høy - maksimal kompresjon 1. Trykk og hold Menu-Info-knappen inne for å komme inn i menyalternativene. 2. Trykk på Next-knappen for å bla deg til DRC. Trykk på Select-knappen. Den nåværende DRC-innstillingen vil være fremhevet. 3. Trykk på Next-knappen for å bla deg i gjennom de tilgjengelige alternativene og trykk på Select-knappen for å velge.
FM-modus Hvis du ikke allerede er i FM-modus, trykker du på Mode-knappen til du er i FM-modus (sjekk skjermen) Hvis du lyttet til en FM-stasjon da du slo av radioen vil denne stasjonen velges automatisk når du slår på radioen igjen.
Bytte til en FM-stasjon • Trykk og hold Next-knappen inne for å søke oppover på frekvensbåndet. • Trykk og hold Prev-knappen inne for å søke nedover på frekvensbåndet. • Trykk på Next eller Prev for å finjustere hver frekvens i 0.05MHz-steg. Bruke POPurban Det finnes to ulike alternativer å velge mellom: • Kun sterke stasjoner – søket vil kun stoppe når en sterk signalstyrke blir mottatt noe som bør resultere i bedre lydkvalitet. Det er mulig at stasjonen du søker etter ikke blir funnet når du bruker dette alternativet. • Alle stasjoner - skanningen vil stoppe for hver eneste stasjon den mottar, selv om signalstyrken er dårlig. 3. Trykk på Next-knappen for å velge mellom de to alternativene og trykk på Selectknappen for å velge.
Lydmodus Radioen vil automatisk bytte mellom Stereo og Mono, avhengig av kvaliteten på signalet som blir mottatt, men du kan overstyre denne funksjonen og manuelt bytte mellom ’Kun Mono’ og ’Stereo Tillatt’. Merk: Siden dette er en Mono-radio, kan det være greit å kun velge ’Stereo Tillatt’, hvis du lytter til radioen din med hodetelefoner. 1. Trykk og hold Menu/Info-knappen inne for å komme inn i menyalternativene. 2. Trykk på Next-knappen for å bla deg til Lydinnstilling. Trykk på Select-knappen. Det er nå to tilgjengelige alternativer synlig på skjermen; Stereo Tillatt og Kun Mono. Den nåværende innstillingen er fremhevet. 3. Trykk på Next-knappen for å velge mellom de to alternativene. Trykk på Selectknappen for å bekrefte.
Lagre en forvalgt FM-favorittstasjon Radioen din kan lagre opptil 10 FM-stasjoner i sitt forhåndsinnstilte minne for umiddelbar tilgang til dine favorittstasjoner. 1. Bla til radiostasjonen du ønsker å forhåndsinnstille. 2. Trykk og hold inne Preset-knappen i ca. 2 sekunder til Lagre til Forvalg og den nummererte forhåndsinnstillingslisten vises. 3. Trykk på Prev eller Next for å bla deg til den forvalgte plasseringen du ønsker å lagre radiostasjonen på (1-10).

Bytt til en forvalgt FM-favorittstasjon I FM-modus: 1. Trykk på Preset-knappen. Hent Forvalg vises sammen med den nummererte forvalgslisten og navnet eller frekvensen på stasjon lagret der, eller (Tom) hvis ingen stasjon har blitt lagret der tidligere. 2. Trykk på Prev eller Next for å bla deg til den plasseringen og stasjonen du ønsker å lytte til (1-10). 3. Trykk på Select-knappen for å bekrefte. Radioen vil bytte til denne stasjonen å begynne og spille. Merk: Hvis ingen FM-stasjon har vært lagret under forvalgknappen, vil ’Forvalg Tom’ vises og radioen vil gå tilbake til den tidligere valgte radiostasjonen.
FM Skjerminformasjon Når du lytter til en FM-stasjon kan du endre informasjonen som vises på den andre linjen på skjermen. • Radiotekst (RT) – Dette er tekstinformasjon levert av kringkasteren. Informasjonen kan være artistnavn, sangtittel, DJ-navn, kontaktinformasjon til radiostasjonen etc. • Programtype (PTY) - for eksempel ’Rock’, ’Pop’, ’Tale’ eller ’Nyheter’ • Stasjonsnavn eller frekvens - for eksempel BBC R4 eller 93.30MHz • Lydmodus – Stereo eller Mono. • Strømkilde – Hovedstrøm eller Batteri • Klokkeslett og dato – Leveres av kringkasteren. 1. Trykk gjentatte ganger på Menu/Info-knappen for å bla gjennom de ulike informasjonsalternativene.

Bruke POPurban Koble til en Bluetooth-enhet Forsikre deg om at radioen er i Bluetooth-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i Bluetoothmodus, trykk på Mode-knappen gjentatte ganger til du er i Bluetooth-modus (sjekk skjermen). ’Ikke tilkoblet’ vises. I Bluetooth-modus: 1. ’Ikke tilkoblet...’ vil vises. 2. Slå på Bluetooth-tilkoblingen på enheten du ønsker å koble til radioen din (f.eks. iPhone/iPad/Android/annen telefon/Nettbrett/Datamaskin), og forsikre deg om at enheten er ’synlig’. Merk: Hvis nødvendig, referer til bruksanvisningen til enheten din for å legge til eller konfigurere Bluetooth. 3. Velg ’Legg til ny enhet’, om nødvendig. Merk: Noen produkter vil automatisk søke etter nye enheter og derfor vil ikke ’Legg til ny enhet’ være en mulighet. 4. Når funnet, vil radioen din være vist som ’POPurban’. Velg enhetens navn for å starte sammenkoblingen. 5. Når sammenkoblingen er ferdig, vil ’Tilkoblet’ vises og du vil høre en tone. 6. Nå som du har sammenkoblet enheten med radioen, vil disse sammenkobles hver gang de er innenfor rekkevidde (Ca. 10 meter/33 fot eller mindre). 7. Enheten din vil forbli sammenkoblet til radioen, helt til du bestemmer deg for å ’fjerne paring’. Merk: Du kan trykke og holde Scan-knappen inne i 3 sekunder for å fjerne paringen på den nåværende enheten og søke etter nye enheter.
Lytte til musikk/lyd med Bluetooth I Bluetooth-modus: 1. Start avspillingen av musikken eller lyden du ønsker å lytte til på den sammenkoblede Bluetooth-enheten, den vil nå bli hørt gjennom radiohøyttalerne. Juster volumet på den tilkoblede enheten og/eller på radioen. 19
Bruke POPurban Merk: Hvis den sammenkoblede enheten er innenfor rekkevidde, men ikke kobles til automatisk, gå til Bluetooth-innstillingene på enheten og velg ’POPurban’ for å koble de sammen igjen. 2. Du kan bruke kontrollene på den sammenkoblede enheten, samt de på radioen. De tilgjengelige kontrollene på radioen din er: • Avspill/Pause – Trykk på Scan-knappen. • Hopp tilbake – Trykk på Prev-knappen. • Hopp forover – Trykk på Next-knappen.
Stille en alarm Merk: Kontroller at radioen har riktig klokkeslett og dato før du stiller en alarm. Med radioen slått på (ikke i Ventemodus): 1. Trykk på Alarm-knappen. 2. Alarm 1 og Alarm 2 vises. Bruk Next-knappen for å velge den alarmen du ønsker å stille. 3. Trykk på Select-knappen for å vise Alarm-informasjon og tilgjengelige alternativer. 4. Bruk Prev eller Next for å bla deg til alarmalternativene i listen. Trykk på Select-knappen. Bruk Prev eller Next for å endre hver innstilling og trykk på Select for å bekrefte. Merk: Husk å sette alarmradiovolumet til et nivå du vil våkne av. Alarmvolumet vil gradvis øke til det når alarmvolumet du har satt. 5. Sjekk at du har valgt å sette alarmen ’På’ før du avslutter alarmmenyen. 6. Når en alarm har blitt stilt, vil et alarmklokkesymbol vises på skjermen når radioen er på. I Ventemodus (kun på hovedstrøm) vil klokkeslettet du har satt for alarmen (Alarm 1 og/ eller Alarm 2) også vises.

Bruke POPurban Stoppe alarmen Når alarmen går, trykk på hvilken som helst knapp, Alarm Av vil vises. Alternativt kan du trykke på Snooze-knappen (se Slumrefunksjonen nedenfor). Merk: Alarmsymbolet vil forbli på skjermen og alarmen vil gå av igjen på samme tid neste dag, om du ikke valgte at den skulle gå av kun ’En gang’.
Slumre Når alarmen starter kan du trykke på Snooze-knappen for å slumre i 9 minutter. En slumrenedtelling vil vises helt til alarmen går av igjen.
Slå av alarmen 1. Trykk på Alarm-knappen. Bruk Next-knappen for å velge alarmen (1 eller 2) du vil slå av. Trykk på Select for å bekrefte. 2. Alarmen er fremhevet. Trykk på Select-knappen for å slå av alarmen (eller på igjen). ’Av’ vil nå vises ved siden av alarmklokkesymbolet i Ventemodus.
Innsovningstimer Du kan stille inn radioen til å slå seg av automatisk når du bruker innsovningstimeren. Du kan velge mellom Sleep av, 15, 30, 45, 60 og 90 minutter. Med radioen slått på (ikke i Ventemodus): 1. Trykk og hold Menu/Info-knappen inne for å komme inn i menyen. 2. Trykk på Prev eller Next for å bla deg til System. Trykk på Select-knappen. 3. Sleep er fremhevet. Trykk på Select-knappen. 4. Trykk på Prev eller Next for å bla deg gjennom de tilgjengelige innsovningsalternativene (Sleep av, 15, 30, 45, 60 og 90 minutter). Stopp når innsovningstiden du ønsker vises på skjermen og trykk på Select-knappen for å velge. 5. Innsovningssymbolet (en halvmåne) vil vises nederst på skjermen sammen med minuttene du har valgt og en nedtelling til radioen slår seg av.

Safety information General safety information • Keep the product and all its parts out of reach of small children. • This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. • Do not attempt to open the product. This product does not contain any user serviceable parts. Unauthorised handling of the device may damage it and will void your warranty. • Do not use your radio near emergency/intensive care medical equipment or during an electrical storm. To avoid possible hearing damage, do not listen to this radio at high volume levels for long periods of time. Always keep the volume within reasonable limits.
Power source • Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorised power supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the product. • Disconnect your radio from the mains power supply during thunderstorms. • Always check that you have completely switched off your radio, before you change or disconnect the power supply. • Where the mains power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable. • If the radio will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that all of the batteries are removed from the battery compartment and the mains power is unplugged. • Only use recommended batteries or those of the same or equivalent type. • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types. • Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. • Remove the batteries from the radio if they will not be used for an extended period of time. • Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing.

Safety information • Batteries are harmful if swallowed, so keep away from young children. • In general, battery chargers and power supplies should not be plugged in at night or when you are not home. All POP products are CE approved and certified.
Moisture and water • Keep it dry. Avoid exposure to precipitation, humidity and liquids which could all affect the product circuitry. • Do not leave it in low temperatures as moisture can form inside the product, which may damage the circuit board.
Ventilation • Do not block or cover slots, holes or openings on the product by placing on soft furnishings such as carpets, rugs or beds as these are provided for functionality and/or ventilation to ensure safe operation of the product
Heat sources and flames • Do not leave it in high temperatures as electronic devices and plastic parts may warp in heat. • Keep it away from bright sunlight or heat sources, such as a radiator.

Getting to know your POPurban Positioning your DAB/FM Radio with Bluetooth Please consider carefully in advance where your radio will be situated and make sure that it is: • on a flat and stable surface. • within 1.4 metres of a power socket (if using mains power). Please ensure that the mains power lead is not a trip hazard. • at least 1 metre away from other electrical appliances to avoid interference. • where it will be in range of the connected or ‘paired’ bluetooth device (e.g. iPod/ iPhone/iPad/Android/other phone/computer, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet or less) in line of sight. • where you can fully extend the telescopic aerial. • never place your radio directly onto antique or polished surfaces.
Power connection 1. Connect the mains power lead into the socket on the back of the radio and fully extend the telescopic aerial in a vertical position to obtain the maximum signal strength. 2. Plug the power adaptor into the mains power wall socket and switch on. 3. Slide the On/Off power switch on the back of the radio to On. The product display will light up, ‘Velkommen til Digital Radio’ will be displayed and then your radio will go to Standby mode. Note: When you are using batteries to power your radio and slide the On/Off power switch on the back of the radio to On, the product display will light up, ‘Welcome to Digital Radio’ will be displayed and then your radio will immediately scan for DAB stations. There is no Standby mode when you are using battery power.

Getting to know your POPurban Inserting the batteries (optional) 1. Before installing the batteries (not included) please ensure that the radio is switched off (slide the power switch on the back to Off) and is unplugged from the mains power supply. 2. On the back of the radio, push in the tab to release and remove the battery compartment cover. 3. Insert 4 x 1.5V AA-size (also known as LR6) batteries, making sure to note the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ markings and position the batteries the correct way around..
4. Replace the battery cover, making sure it ‘clicks’ shut. Note: For battery operation, please ensure that the mains power is switched off and remove the mains power plug from the socket, on the back of the radio.

Using your POPurban Telescopic aerial Please make sure that the aerial is fully extended before you switch on your radio and attempt to tune to a DAB station (a vertical position is recommended). This will ensure that the maximum signal strength is available when the radio begins to scan. Extending the aerial also ensures the best possible sound quality.
Switch on 1. Press and release the Power button on the top of your radio. Your radio will switch on and begin an automatic scan for DAB stations. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed. Note: When using battery power, your radio will scan for DAB stations after you slide the On/Off power switch on the back of the radio to On. There is no Standby mode when you are using battery power. 2. When the scan is complete your radio will select the first available station and begin to play. Stations are listed in numerical and then alphabetical order by default. Note: The DAB radio station list is stored in the memory and so the next time you switch your radio on, the station search does not take place. It is possible to scan manually for stations by pressing and releasing the Scan button.
Adjusting the volume • Turn clockwise to increase the volume. • Turn anti-clockwise to decrease the volume. • Check the display, which will confirm the volume setting.
Change the mode Press and release the Mode button to change between DAB, FM and Bluetooth modes. Please check the display, which will confirm the mode.

If you are not already in Bluetooth mode, press and release the Mode button until you are in Bluetooth mode (check the display). ‘Disconnected’ will be displayed. In Bluetooth Mode: 1. ‘Disconnected…’ will be displayed. 2. On the device that you would like to connect to your radio (e.g. iPhone/iPad/Android/ other phone/Tablet/Computer), turn on Bluetooth connectivity and ensure that it is ‘discoverable’. Note: If necessary, refer to the instructions for your device to add or set up Bluetooth. 3. Select to ‘Add new device’, if necessary. Note: Some products will automatically search for a new device and so the ‘Add new device’ option is not available. 4. When found, your radio will be displayed as ‘POPurban’. Select the device name to begin pairing. 5. When pairing is complete ‘Connected’ will be displayed and a tone will sound. 6. Now that you have paired your device with the radio, it will connect to it when it is within range, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet or less), line of sight. 7. Your device will remain paired with the radio unless you decide to disconnect or ‘unpair’ it. Note: You can press and hold the Scan button for 3 seconds to disconnect your current device and search for new devices.
Time and date The first time you listen to DAB radio, the time and date of your product will be synchronised automatically to that broadcast by the DAB service in 24 hour mode; which is in line with daylight saving, so there is no need to set the time and date manually. If you do wish to set the time and date manually, turn on the radio and follow the steps below: 39

Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the correct month. Press and release the Select button. 6. The year will flash. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the correct year. Press and release the Select button. 7. The hour digits will flash. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the correct hour. Press and release the Select button. 8. The minutes will now flash. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the correct minutes. Press and release the Select button. ‘Time Saved’ is displayed and the display returns to the Time/Date options. You can now use the Prev and Next buttons, together with the Select button, as you did to set the time and date to change the settings for: • Auto Update to update the time from the DAB signal, FM signal, DAB or FM signal or no update. • Set 12/24 Hour clock display • Set Date Format, DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY
Using headphones You can connect headphones with a 3.5mm plug (not included) to your radio. The stereo headphone socket can be found on the back of the radio at the bottom. When you have headphones connected the radio speaker is switched off and all sound is via the headphones. Note: Always keep the volume within reasonable limits.

The first time you use the Radio or if the station list is empty, your radio will automatically begin to scan for DAB radio stations. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed. If you were listening to a DAB station when you switched the radio off, then this station will automatically be selected when you switch the radio back on.
Changing DAB stations 1. Press and release the Next and Prev buttons to scroll through the available stations. 2. When the station that you would like to listen to is displayed, press and release the Select button to confirm. There will be a short delay whilst your radio tunes to your selected station.
Scanning for DAB stations With DAB radio, additional stations and services regularly become available so it’s a good idea to carry out a manual scan every now and then to make sure that you have the most up to date station listing stored within the memory of your Radio. If you have moved your Radio to another location, e.g.: if you go on holiday, then it’s also a good idea to carry out a manual scan. In DAB mode: 1. Press and release the ‘Scan’ button to begin a search for stations. The display will change to ‘Scanning...’. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed.
Prune DAB stations You can remove the DAB stations in the station list that cannot be received in your area. These are listed with a ‘?’ prefix. In DAB mode: 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options.

Storing a DAB station preset Your radio can store up to 10 DAB radio stations in its preset memories for instant access to your favourite stations. 1. Tune the Radio to the DAB radio station that you wish to preset. 2. Press and hold the Preset button for approximately 2 seconds until Save to Preset and the numbered preset list is displayed. 3. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the preset location that you would like to store the radio station to (1-10). 4. Press and release the Select button to confirm. Preset X saved, where ‘X’ is the number of the preset (1-10), will be displayed. Note: If there is already an existing DAB station stored under a preset, it will be over written when you store the new station.
Tune to a DAB station preset In DAB mode: 1. Press and release the Preset button. Preset Recall is displayed together with the numbered preset list and the name or frequency of the station stored there, or (Empty) if no previous station has been stored. 2. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to the preset location and station that you would like to listen to (1-10). 3. Press and release the Select button to confirm. The radio will instantly tune to that station and begin to play. Note: If no DAB station has been stored under the preset button, ‘! Preset Empty’ will be displayed, then the radio will revert to the previously selected radio station.

Using your POPurban DAB display information When listening to a DAB station you can change the information that will appear on the display. There are several different types of information that are sent by the broadcaster. • Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) - this is text information supplied by the broadcaster. Information could be the name of an artist or music title, DJ’s name, contact details for the radio station etc. • Program Type (PTY) - such as ‘Rock’, ‘Pop‘, Talk’ or ‘News’ • Multiplex Name - displays the broadcasting area and collection of radio stations on this frequency e.g.: BBC National DAB, Digital 1 Network. • Channel and Frequency - e.g.: 12B 225.648 MHz • Signal error and Strength - the signal error is displayed as a number between 0-99. It would not be possible to satisfactorily listen to a ratio station with a signal error rate of 30 or above. The signal strength is displayed as a row of solid rectangles. Two black lines within the solid rectangles indicate the minimum signal strength for acceptable listening. The stronger the signal, the further to the right the row of solid rectangles will be. Try adjusting the aerial or relocating your radio to improve reception. • Signal information - the data rate at which the signal is being transmitted. • Power source - mains or Battery power. • Time and date - supplied by the broadcaster. 1. Repeatedly press and release the Menu/Info button to cycle through the different information options.
Dynamic range control (DRC) In DAB mode: The dynamic range for each radio programme is set by the broadcaster for each radio station and may be different for the types of programme broadcast, such as pop or classical music or a chat show. The dynamic range control signal is transmitted in parallel with the audio signal for each programme and with your radio you can use this control signal to expand or compress the dynamic range (the difference between the loudest and quietest sounds) of the reproduced audio signal. Changing the dynamic range can affect the ‘loudness’ and/or ‘quality of sound’ of the programme that you hear so that it will be more suited to your listening conditions and your own personal listening requirements. e.g. in a noisy environment, where quiet sounds might be swamped, setting the 43
Using your POPurban compression to maximum will ‘boost’ the quiet sounds, whilst keeping the loudest sounds at their original level. There are 3 levels of compression: • DRC off - no compression. This is the default setting. • DRC low - medium compression. • DRC high - maximum compression. 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the Next button to scroll to DRC. Press and release the Select button. The current DRC setting will be highlighted. 3. Press and release the Next button to scroll through the options available and press and release the Select button to confirm.
FM Radio mode If you are not already in FM mode, press and release the Mode button to go to FM mode (check the display). If you were listening to an FM station when you switched the radio off then this station will be automatically selected when you switch the radio back on.
Tuning to an FM station • Press and hold the Next button to scan up the frequency band. • Press and hold the Prev button to scan down the frequency band. • Press and release the Next or Prev button to fine tune each frequency in 0.05MHz steps. Note: If reception is still poor try moving the radio to another location.
Changing the Scan setting In FM mode: 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options.

Using your POPurban 2. Press and release the Next button until FM Scan setting is displayed. Press and release the Select button. The current Scan setting will be highlighted. There are two different options to choose from: • Strong Stations Only - The scan will only stop when a strong signal strength is received which should also result in a better audio quality. It is possible that the station you are scanning for may be missed using this option. • All Stations - The scan will stop for every station it receives, even if the signal strength is poor. 3. Press and release the Next button to choose from the two options available and press and release the Select button to confirm.
Audio mode The radio will automatically switch between Stereo and Mono, depending on the quality of the signal being received but you can override this function and manually switch between ‘Forced Mono’ and ‘Stereo Allowed’. Note: As this is a Mono radio, you may wish to only select the ‘Stereo Allowed’ option if you are listening to your radio using headphones. 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the Next button to scroll to Audio Setting. Press and release the Select button. There are now two options of Stereo Allowed and Forced Mono displayed. The current setting will be highlighted. 3. Press and release the Next button to choose from the two options available. Press and release the Select button to confirm.

Using your POPurban Listening to Music/Audio using Bluetooth In Bluetooth mode: 1. Select and start the music or audio that you wish to listen to on your paired Bluetooth device, it will now be heard through the radio speakers. Adjust the volume on the connected device and/or your radio. Note: If your previously paired device is within range but does not automatically connect, go to the Bluetooth connectivity settings on your device and select ‘POPurban’ to reconnect. 2. You can use the controls on your paired Bluetooth device as well as those on your radio. Controls available on your radio are: • Play/Pause - Press and release the Scan button. • Skip back
- Press and release the Prev button.
• Skip forward - Press and release the Next button.
Setting the alarm Note: Check that the radio has the correct time and date before you set an alarm. With your radio switched on (not in Standby mode): 1. Press and release the Alarm button. 2. Alarm 1 and .Alarm 2 are displayed. Use the Next button to highlight the alarm that you’d like to set. 3. Press and release the Select button to display the Alarm information and options available. 4. Use the Prev or Next button to scroll to each Alarm option in the list. Press the Select button. Use the Prev or Next button to change each setting and press the Select button to confirm. Note: Remember to set the alarm radio volume to one that will wake you. The alarm volume will increase progressively until it reaches the alarm volume you have set.

Using your POPurban 5. Check that you have selected to turn the Alarm ‘On’ before you exit the Alarm menu. 6. When an alarm has been set, an alarm clock symbol will appear at the bottom of the display, when the radio is on. In Standby mode (Mains Power only), the time you have set for each alarm (Alarm 1 and/or Alarm 2) will also be displayed.
Stop the Alarm When the alarm sounds, press and release any button, Alarm off is displayed. Alternatively, you can press and release the Snooze button (see Snooze function below). Note: The alarm symbol will remain in the display and the alarm will sound again at the same time the next day, unless it was set for ‘Once’ only.
Snooze When the alarm sounds you can press and release the Snooze button to snooze for 9 minutes. A snooze time countdown will be displayed until the alarm sounds again.
Turn off the Alarm 1. Press and release the Alarm button. Use the Next button to highlight the alarm (1 or 2), that you would like to turn off. Press and release the Select button. 2. Alarm is highlighted. Press and release the Select button to turn the alarm off (or on again). ‘Off’ will now be displayed next to the alarm clock symbol in Standby mode.
Sleep timer You can set your radio to turn off automatically using the sleep timer. You can choose from Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes. With your radio switched on (not in Standby mode): 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the Prev or Next buttons to scroll to System Settings. Press and release the Select button. 3. Sleep is highlighted. Press and release the Select button. 4. Press and release the Prev or Next buttons to scroll through the available sleep timer

Using your POPurban options (Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes). Stop when the sleep time you would like is displayed and press and release the Select button. 5. The sleep time half moon symbol together with the minutes that you have selected will be displayed at the bottom of the radio display and will countdown until the radio switches off.
Cancel the Sleep timer With your radio switched on (not in Standby mode), follow the steps to set the Sleep timer, as above, and select â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;Sleep Timer Offâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; in step 4.
Display backlight timeout You can adjust the display backlight timeout. Options of permanently On, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, and 180 seconds are available. With your radio switched on (not in Standby mode): 1. Press and hold the Menu/Info button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the Prev or Next button to scroll to System Settings. Press and release the Select button. 3. Press and release the Next button to scroll to Backlight. Press and release the Select button. 4. Timeout is highlighted. Press and release the Select button. Press and release the Prev or Next buttons to scroll to the backlight timeout option you would like. Permanently On, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90,120 or 180 second options are available. Press and release the Select button. You can now use the Prev or Next buttons to scroll and the Select button to confirm, as you did to set the Backlight timeout, to change the settings for the backlight brightness for the On level and Dim level. There are 3 options available, High, Medium and Low and the current setting will be highlighted.

Please use only good quality AA size batteries. • You may have headphones connected. Either use the headphones to listen to your radio or unplug the headphones.
Radio reception is poor: • Fully extend the telescopic aerial to get the best reception and sound quality. • Retune for radio stations, see pages 41 and 44. • Try moving your radio to another location to see if reception improves. • Check that you do not have other electrical equipment too close to your Radio, causing interference. • Visit www.radio.no for information about DAB reception in your area.
Unable to pair with a Bluetooth device: • Check that you are in Bluetooth mode. • Ensure that you are within range of the radio for Bluetooth functionality, 10 metres or less (33 feet or less). • Move the radio and Bluetooth device away from other Bluetooth devices/electrical equipment. • If possible, turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices or disable their Bluetooth.
