Generelt sett bør batteriladere og strømforsyninger i minst mulig grad være tilkoblet strømnettet om natten eller når du ikke er hjemme. Alle POP-produkter er CEgodkjente og sertifiserte.

Sikkerhetsinformasjon Fuktighet og vann •
Hold den tørr. Unngå eksponering for nedbør, fuktighet og væsker som kan påvirke produktets kretser.

Bruk av din POPtube Teleskopantenne Vennligst forsikre deg om at teleskopantennen er helt strukket ut før du slår radioen på og søker etter DAB-stasjoner (vertikal posisjon er anbefalt). Dette vil sikre at maksimal signalstyrke er tilgjengelig når radioen begynner å skanne. Å strekke ut antennen sikrer også best mulig lydkvalitet.
Slå på 1. Trykk på Power foran på radioen. Radioen din vil slå seg på og starte et automatisk søk etter DAB-stasjoner. En fremdriftslinje vil vise progresjonen til søket og antall stasjoner funnet under søket vil også vises. 2. Når skanningen er fullført vil radioen velge den første tilgjengelige stasjonen og begynne å spille. Stasjonene er oppført i numerisk og deretter alfabetisk rekkefølge som standard. Merk: DAB-stasjonslisten er lagret i minnet på radioen, så neste gang du slår radioen på, vil ikke skanningen/søket finne sted. Det er mulig å søke etter stasjoner manuelt, ved å trykke på SCAN-knappen.
Justere volumet •
Trykk på ‘+’ oppå radioen din for å øke volumet.

Trykk på ‘-’ oppå radioen din for å senke volumet.
Endre modus Trykk på MODE-knappen for å endre mellom modusene DAB, FM, Bluetooth og Aux in. Vennligst sjekk skjermen, som vil bekrefte modusen.
Koble til en Bluetooth-enhet Kontroller at radioen er i Bluetooth-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i Bluetooth-modus, trykk på MODE-knappen gjentatte ganger til du er i Bluetooth-modus (sjekk skjermen). ‘Søker...’ vil vises.

Bruk av din POPtube I Bluetooth-modus: 1. ‘Søker’ vil vises. 2. Slå på Bluetooth på enheten du vil koble til POPtube (f.eks. iPhone/iPad/Android/andre telefoner/Nettbrett/datamaskiner) og forsikre deg om at den er ’synlig’. Merk: Hvis det er nødvendig, referer til bruksanvisningen til enheten du prøver å koble til for å legge til eller konfigurere Bluetooth. 3. Velg ’Legg til ny enhet’, hvis nødvendig. Merk: Noen produkter vil automatisk søke etter nye enheter og derfor vil ikke ’Legg til ny enhet’ være en mulighet. 4. Når funnet, vil radioen din vises som ‘POPtube DAB+’. Skanne etter DAB-stasjoner Med en DAB-radio blir stadig flere stasjoner og tjenester tilgjengelige, så det er en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning nå og da for å være sikker på at du har den mest oppdaterte stasjonslisten lagret i minnet på radioen. Hvis du har flyttet radioen til et annet sted, for eksempel hvis du drar på ferie, så er det også en god idé å gjennomføre en manuell skanning. I DAB-modus 1. Trykk på SCAN-knappen for å starte et søk etter stasjoner. Skjermen vil endres til ‘Scanner...’. En fremdriftslinje viser fremdriften for skanningen og antall stasjoner funnet under skanningen.
Renske DAB-stasjoner Du kan fjerne de DAB+ stasjonene i stasjonslisten som ikke kan mottas i ditt område. Disse er listet med forstavelsen ‘?’. I DAB-modus 1. Trykk på Menu-knappen for å komme inn i radioens Menyvalg. 2. Trykk på

for å bla deg til <Renske>. Trykk på SELECT-knappen.

Lagre en forvalgt DAB-stasjon Radioen kan lagre opptil 10 DAB-stasjoner i sitt forhåndsinnstilte minne for umiddelbar tilgang til dine favorittstasjoner. 1. Sett radioen på den DAB-stasjonen du ønsker å forhåndsinnstille.

Bruk av din POPtube 2. Trykk og hold Preset-knappen inne i ca. 2 sekunder. ‘Lagre Forvalg <1:(Tom)’ vises, hvis ingen tidligere stasjon har blitt lagret der. 3. Trykk på eller for å bla deg til den plasseringen du ønsker å lagre den forvalgte stasjonen på (1-10). 4. Trykk på SELECT-knappen for å bekrefte. ‘Forvalg X lagret’, vil vises, der ‘X’ er nummeret på forvalget (1-10). Merk: Hvis det allerede finnes en eksisterende DAB-stasjon lagret under en forhåndsinnstilling, vil den bli overskrevet når du lagrer den nye stasjonen.
Høre på en forvalgt DAB-stasjon I DAB-modus: 1. Trykk på PRESET-knappen. ‘Hent Forvalg <1:>’ vises, sammen med navnet eller frekvensen på stasjonen du har lagret der, eller så vil ‘(Tom)’ vises, hvis ingen tidligere stasjon har blitt lagret der. 2. Trykk på

for å bla deg til den forvalgte stasjonen du ønsker å høre på (1-10).
3. Trykk på Select-knappen for å bekrefte. Radioen vil bytte til stasjonen du valgte og starte å spille. Merk: Hvis ingen DAB-stasjon er lagret under den forhåndsinnstilte knappen, vil “Tomt forvalg” vises og radioen vil gå tilbake til den tidligere valgte radiostasjonen.
DAB skjerminformasjon Når du lytter til en DAB-stasjon kan du endre informasjonen som vises på skjermen. Det finnes ulike typer informasjon som sendes av kringkasteren. •
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) - Dette er rullerende tekstinformasjon fra kringkasteren. Informasjonen kan være artistnavn, sangtittel, DJ-navn, kontaktinformasjon til radiostasjonen etc.
•
Signalstyrke - En tom vil dukke opp på den andre linjen på skjermen for å indikere minimum signalstyrke for akseptabel lytting. Raden med solide rektangler indikerer den faktiske signalstyrken du mottar. Jo sterkere signalet er, jo lenger til høyre vil raden av solide rektangler være.

Signalfeil - Dette er vist som et tall mellom 0-99. Det vil ikke være mulig å tilfredsstillende lytte til en radiostasjon med en signalfeilrate på 30 eller mer. Prøv å justere antennen eller flytt radioen til et annet sted for å forbedre mottaket.

Signalinformasjon - datahastigheten på signalet som blir overført.
•
Klokkeslett og dato - levert av kringkasteren.
1. Trykk på Info-knappen gjentatte ganger for å bla gjennom de forskjellige informasjonsalternativene.
Dynamic range control (DRC) I DAB-modus: Det dynamiske området for hvert radioprogram er satt av kringkasteren for hver enkelt radiostasjon og kan være forskjellig for hvert program, for eksempel pop, klassisk musikk eller tale. DRC-signalet sendes parallelt med lydsignalet for hvert program, og med radioen kan du bruke dette styresignalet til å utvide eller komprimere dynamikken (forskjellen mellom de høyeste og de mest stillegående lydene) av det reproduserte lydsignalet. Å endre det dynamiske området kan påvirke ’lydstyrken’ og/eller ’kvaliteten på lyden’ på programmet du hører, slik at det vil være mer egnet til dine lytteforhold og dine egne personlige lyttekrav. For eksempel i støyende omgivelser, hvor rolige lyder kan bli overbelastet, kan du sette komprimeringen til maksimalt. Dette vil gi en ’økning’ til de rolige lydene, mens du holder de sterkeste lydene på sitt opprinnelige nivå. Det finnes 3 kompresjonsnivåer: •
DRC Av - ingen kompresjon. Dette er standardinnstillingen.
•
DRC Lav - medium kompresjon.
•
DRC Høy - maksimal kompresjon

Endre scaninnstilling I FM-modus: 1. Trykk på MENU-knappen for å komme inn i radioens Menyvalg. <Scaninnstilling> vises. Trykk på SELECT-knappen. 2. Den nåværende Scaninnstillingen vil være fremhevet. Det finnes to ulike alternativer å velge mellom: •
Kun sterke stasjoner – søket vil kun stoppe når en sterk signalstyrke blir mottatt noe som bør resultere i bedre lydkvalitet. Det er mulig at stasjonen du søker etter ikke blir funnet når du bruker dette alternativet.
•
Alle stasjoner - skanningen vil stoppe for hver eneste stasjon den mottar, selv om signalstyrken er dårlig.

FM skjerminformasjon Når du lytter til en FM-stasjon kan du endre informasjonen som vises på den andre linjen på skjermen. •
Radiotekst (RT) – Dette er tekstinformasjon levert av kringkasteren. Informasjonen kan være artistnavn, sangtittel, DJ-navn, kontaktinformasjon til radiostasjonen etc.

Koble til en Bluetooth-enhet Sjekk at radioen din er i Bluetooth-modus. Hvis du ikke allerede er i Bluetooth-modus, trykk på MODE gjentatte ganger til du er i Bluetooth-modus (sjekk skjermen). ‘Søker’ vil vises. I Bluetooth-modus: 1. ‘Søker’ vil vises. 2. Slå på Bluetooth på enheten du vil koble til POPtube (f.eks. iPhone/iPad/Android/andre telefoner/Nettbrett/datamaskiner) og forsikre deg om at den er ’synlig’. Merk: Hvis det er nødvendig, referer til bruksanvisningen til enheten du prøver å koble til for å legge til eller konfigurere Bluetooth. 3. Velg ’Legg til ny enhet’, hvis nødvendig. Bruk av din POPtube Lytte til musikk/lyd gjennom Bluetooth I Bluetooth-modus: 1. Start avspillingen av musikken/lyden du ønsker å høre på på din sammenkoblede, eksterne Bluetooth-enhet. Musikken/lyden vil bli hørt gjennom radioens høyttaler. Juster volumet på den sammenkoblede enheten og/eller radioen. Merk: Hvis den sammenkoblede enheten er innenfor rekkevidde, men ikke kobler seg til radioen automatisk, gå til Bluetooth-innstillingene på enheten din og velg ‘POPtube DAB+’ for å koble enhetene sammen igjen. 2. Ved hjelp av en 3.5mm lydkabel (ikke inkl.), gjør Aux-inngangen at du kan koble deg raskt og enkelt til en ekstern lydkilde. 1. Koble den ene enden av 3.5mm lydkabelen (ikke inkl.) til hodetelefon/Aux-utgangen på din sekundære enhet, koble den andre enden til Aux-inngangen på baksiden av radioen din. 2. Trykk på Avspillingsknappen på den eksterne enheten din for å starte avspillingen gjennom radioens høyttaler. For å oppnå et optimalt volumnivå, juster volumnivået på både den eksterne enheten og på radioen. Merk: det er anbefalt at du kobler lydkabelen fra Aux-inngangen etter at du er ferdig med å høre på musikk fra den eksterne enheten din.

Bruk av din POPtube Merk: Det vil ikke være mulig å sette volumnivået til alarmen til lavere enn 4. Husk å stille alarmradiovolumet til et nivå du vil våkne av. Alarmnivået vil gradvis øke til det når alarmvolumet du har satt. 12. ‘Alarm Lagret’ vil vises. 13. I Ventemodus vil et klokke/bjelle-symbol vises på venstre side på skjermen. Dette vil bekrefte at alarmen har blitt stilt. Merk: Hvis klokkeslettet ikke har blitt lagret eller hvis oppdateringen fra radiosignalet har mislykkes, vil ‘Tid ikke stilt’ vises når du prøver å stille en alarm. En alarm kan kun stilles etter at klokkelsettet har blitt stilt.
Stoppe alarmen Når alarmen starter, trykk på hvilken som helst knapp, untatt ‘Snooze’. ‘Alarm av’ vil vises på skjermen. Alternativt kan du trykke på ‘Snooze’-knappen (se Snooze/Slumre-funksjon nedenfor). Merk: Når du stopper alarmen, vil alarmsymbolet bli værende i skjermen og alarmen vil starte til samme tid neste dag, hvis du ikke kun valgte at alarmen kun skulle gå av ‘En gang’.
Snooze/Slumre Når alarmen starter, trykk på SNOOZE-knappen oppå radioen for å aktivere 10 minutters slumrefunksjon. ‘Snooze’ vil vises, fulgt av en nedtellingstimer, til alarmen går av igjen.
Slå av alarmen Følg stegene for å ‘Stille en alarm’ og velg ‘Av’ i steg 4.
Sleep/Innsovningstimer Du kan stille inn radioen slik at den slår seg av automatisk ved hjelp av Sleep/ innsovningstimeren. Du kan velge mellom Sleep av, 15, 30, 45, 60 og 90 minutter I DAB, FM, Bluetooth eller Aux in-modus:

Power source •
Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorised power supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the product.

Disconnect your radio from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.

Always check that you have completely switched off your radio, before you change or disconnect the power supply.

Where the mains power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

If the radio will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that the mains power is unplugged.
•
In general, battery chargers and power supplies should not be plugged in at night or when you are not home. All POP products are CE approved and certified.

Getting to know your POPtube Positioning your POPtube Please consider carefully in advance where your radio will be situated and make sure that it is: •
on a flat and stable surface.

Power connection 1. Connect the mains power lead into the socket on the back of the radio and fully extend the telescopic aerial in a vertical position to obtain the maximum signal strength. 2. Plug the power adaptor into the mains power wall socket and switch on.

Using your POPtube Telescopic aerial Please make sure that the aerial is fully extended before you switch on your radio and attempt to tune to a DAB station (a vertical position is recommended). This will ensure that the maximum signal strength is available when the radio begins to scan. Extending the aerial also ensures the best possible sound quality.
Switch on 1. Press and release the Power button on the front of your radio. Your radio will switch on and begin an automatic scan for DAB stations. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed. 2. When the scan is complete your radio will select the first available station and begin to play. Stations are listed in numerical and then alphabetical order by default. Note: The DAB radio station list is stored in the memory and so the next time you switch your radio on, the station search does not take place. It is possible to scan manually for stations by pressing and releasing the SCAN button.
Adjusting the volume •
Press and release the ‘+’ on the top of your radio to increase the volume.

Change the mode Press and release the MODE button to change between DAB, FM, Bluetooth and Aux in modes. Please check the display, which will confirm the mode.

Note: If necessary, refer to the instructions for your device to add or set up Bluetooth. 3. Select to ‘Add new device’, if necessary. Note: Some products will automatically search for a new device and so the ‘Add new device’ option is not available. 4. When found, your radio will be displayed as ‘POPtube DAB+’. Select the device name to begin pairing. 5. When pairing is complete ‘BT connected’ will be displayed. 6. Now that you have paired your device with the radio, it will connect to it when it is within range, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet or less), line of sight. 7. Your device will remain paired with the radio unless you decide to disconnect or ‘unpair’ it. Note: You can press and hold the SCAN button for 3 seconds to disconnect your current device and search for new devices.
Time and date The first time you listen to DAB radio, the time and date of your product will be synchronised automatically to that broadcast by the DAB service in 24 hour mode; which is in line with daylight saving, so there is no need to set the time and date manually. If you do wish to set the time and date manually, turn on the radio and follow the steps below: 1. Press and release the MENU button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the SELECT button.

Scanning for DAB stations With DAB radio, additional stations and services regularly become available so it’s a good idea to carry out a manual scan every now and then to make sure that you have the most up to date station listing stored within the memory of your Radio. If you have moved your Radio to another location, e.g.: if you go on holiday, then it’s also a good idea to carry out a manual scan. In DAB mode: 1. Press and release the ‘SCAN’ button to begin a search for stations. The display will change to ‘Scanning...’. A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed.
Prune DAB stations You can remove the DAB stations in the station list that cannot be received in your area. These are listed with a ‘?’ prefix. In DAB mode: 1. Press and release the MENU button to enter the menu options. 2. Press and release the SELECT button.

Tune to a DAB station preset In DAB mode: 1. Press and release the PRESET button. ‘Preset Recall <1: >’ is displayed and the name or frequency of the station stored there, or ‘(Empty)’ if no previous station has been stored. 2. Press and release the or button to scroll to the preset location and station that you would like to listen to (1-10). 3. Press and release the SELECT button to confirm. The radio will instantly tune to that station and begin to play. Note: If no DAB station has been stored under the preset button, ‘Preset Empty’ will be displayed and the radio will revert to the previously selected radio station.
DAB display information When listening to a DAB station you can change the information that will appear on the display. There are several different types of information that are sent by the broadcaster. •
Dynamic Label Segment (DLS) - this is text information supplied by the broadcaster. Information could be the name of an artist or music title, DJ’s name, contact details for the radio station etc.

Signal Strength - An empty will appear on the second line of the display to indicate the minimum signal strength for acceptable listening. The row of solid rectangles indicate the actual signal strength that you are receiving. The stronger the signal, the further to the right the row of solid rectangles will be.

Program Type (PTY) - such as ‘Rock’, ‘Pop‘, Talk’ or ‘News’
•
Multiplex Name - displays the broadcasting area and collection of radio stations on this frequency e.g.: BBC National DAB, Digital 1 Network.
•
Channel and Frequency - e.g.: 12B 225.648 MHz
•
Signal error - This is displayed as a number between 0-99. It would not be possible to satisfactorily listen to a radio station with a signal error rate of 30 or above. Try adjusting the aerial or relocating your radio to improve reception.
•
Signal information - the data rate at which the signal is being transmitted.
•
Time and date - supplied by the broadcaster.

Dynamic range control (DRC) In DAB mode: The dynamic range for each radio programme is set by the broadcaster for each radio station and may be different for the types of programme broadcast, such as pop or classical music or a chat show. The dynamic range control signal is transmitted in parallel with the audio signal for each programme and with your radio you can use this control signal to expand or compress the dynamic range (the difference between the loudest and quietest sounds) of the reproduced audio signal. Changing the dynamic range can affect the ‘loudness’ and/or ‘quality of sound’ of the programme that you hear so that it will be more suited to your listening conditions and your own personal listening requirements. e.g. in a noisy environment, where quiet sounds might be swamped, setting the compression to maximum will ‘boost’ the quiet sounds, whilst keeping the loudest sounds at their original level. There are 3 levels of compression: •
DRC off - no compression. This is the default setting.
•
DRC low - medium compression.
•
DRC high - maximum compression. 42

Strong stations only - The scan will only stop when a strong signal strength is received which should also result in a better audio quality. It is possible that the station you are scanning for may be missed using this option.

All stations - The scan will stop for every station it receives, even if the signal strength is poor.

Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio connection cable (not supplied) to the headphone (or auxiliary out) socket of your secondary device, connect the other end to the Aux in socket on the back of your radio. 46

Stop the Alarm When the alarm sounds, press and release any button, except snooze. ‘Alarm off’ is displayed. Alternatively, you can press and release the Snooze button (see Snooze function below). Note: When you stop the alarm, the alarm symbol will remain in the display and the alarm will sound again at the same time the next day, unless it was set for ‘Once’ only.

Using your POPtube Snooze When the alarm sounds you can press and release the SNOOZE button on the top of the radio to activate the 10 minute snooze function. ‘Snooze’ will be displayed, followed by the snooze time countdown, until the alarm sounds again.
Turn off the Alarm Follow the steps for ‘Setting an Alarm’ and select ‘Off’ in step 4.
Sleep timer You can set your radio to turn off automatically using the sleep timer You can choose from Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes. In DAB, FM, Bluetooth or Aux in mode: 1. Press and release the MENU button to enter the menu options. Press and release the or button to scroll to <System>. Press and release the SELECT button. 2. Press and release the or button to scroll to <Sleep>. Press and release the SELECT button. ‘Set sleep time’ is displayed. 3. Press and release the or button to scroll through the available options of Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes. Stop when the sleep time you would like is displayed and press and release the SELECT button. 4. The sleep time minutes that you have selected will be displayed on the right hand side of the display (e g S15 for 15 minutes), and will countdown until the radio switches off. Note: To cancel the sleep time, follow the steps to set the sleep time but stop when ‘Sleep off’ is displayed and press and release the SELECT button.
Display backlight timeout You can adjust the display backlight timeout. Options of permanently On, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, and 180 seconds are available. Note: An ‘*’ will be displayed next to the current setting.
