Key qualifications/Involvement Siphiwe Aubrey Maduna is a BSc. Civil Engineering graduate from the University of KwaZulu-Natal formerly known as the University of DurbanWestville in 1999 and also holds Cambridge International Diploma in Project Management from Damelin Centre in 2003. During his civil engineering studies, Mr. Maduna worked for LTA Ground Engineering (LTA-Gel) in a number of projects as a student engineer responsible for site supervision. This is where he gained experience in construction/installation of piles (CFA piles, Pre-cast piles, bore piles), gunnite walls, sheet piles walls etc. during his final year of study, he worked with Knight Hall Henry Geotechnical Engineers to finish his geotechnical engineering design project on “design of piled foundation for gateway shopping centre” one the biggest shopping Centre in the southern hemisphere. He further worked with Tobbel Stretch and Associates on the same project involved in structural design of piled foundation. In 2000, Mr. Maduna joined LTA Construction on full time basis as a site engineer/quality assurance engineer. Amongst the projects he was involved with was the construction of New Domestic Terminal at the Johannesburg International Airport, New Furnace Building at Amplats. In 2001, he joined Bafokeng Construction as a junior site agent involved in the construction of new S.A Chrome Smelter in Boshoek near Rustenburg valued at R 80 million. In 2002, he relocated to England and worked for Hochtief (UK) Construction as a civil engineer based in London. He was involved in the construction of channel tunnel rail link project. After 18 months he returned to South Africa and joined Lebone Engineers as a project engineer and transportation engineer. This is where he gained project management and transportation experience while working on Gauteng Rapid Rail Link (Gautrain) project and other different projects/topic including modal integration (rail with other surface modes of transport), traffic planning, intersection planning etc. In 2006 he joined Makone Consulting Engineers as a senior civil and structural engineer and was involved in the design of a number of interesting projects including but not limited to Fifa 2010 world cup stadium, office buildings, schools, tertiary institutions, police stations, major roads and highways, water supply projects, etc. In 2013 Mr Maduna devoted his services fully Five Star Projects. He has a vast experience in civil and structural engineering design & construction, project management and transportation engineering.
Rantshonyane John Kololo Educational qualifications - Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) : University of Durban - Westville (1998) Professional qualifications - Professional engineer No. 20060009 - Member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering No. 970257 Key qualifications/involvement Rantshonyane John Kololo has 15 years’ experience as a transportation, roads and contracts (documentation) engineer including project management. During his studies, Mr Kololo worked voluntarily for Lofty’s Construction and Port Elizabeth Municipality to gain experiential training. Upon completion of his studies, he joined Fongoqa Skade Toyi & Associates Consulting Engineers as a junior design engineer in their roads section. It is here where he was a member of a design team for both Maputo Development Corridor, section 8c of the N4 toll road and wet services at Gateway Shopping Centre. He went ahead and joined Mza Consulting Engineers as a design engineer responsible for overall roads designs, storm water systems, township development services and documentation. In 2001 after spending just over one year with Mza Consulting Engineers, Mr Kololo was promoted to the position of Associate Director for transportation and project management divisions. His responsibilities amongst others were to oversee or head both divisions in the company’s head office in Gauteng Province and regional office (Mpumalanga Province) and to ensure maximization of profit in mainly Mpumalanga office. During his stay at Mza Consulting Engineers he played a role as design engineer, co-ordinator, project engineer and engineer’s representative. He co-ordinated and also was the resident engineer for the construction of exit roads and bridges at the Johannesburg International Airport contract to the tune of R 44 million to mention few. Mr Kololo has a vast experience in documentation, design, project management, site supervision and dispute resolution.
