FORSIPHONICSYSTEM

RAINWATER BY SIPHONIC SYSTEM

1. Type of network

Supply and implementation of rainwater evacuation piping using the EPAMS cast iron siphonic system, or equivalent.

2. Supplier & Warranty

The entire drainage system (pipes + fittings + stainless steel joints) must come from a single supplier in order to provide a minimum 10-year manufacturer's warranty.

The systems must be produced by a European manufacturer in factories located within European territory.

3. Products standards

The pipes, fittings and couplings shall comply with the amended EN 877 standard. The pipes are manufactured in a plant in compliance with certifiable ISO 9001 quality management and using the De Lavaud spinning process.

Gaskets: EPDM gaskets manufactured in compliance with EN 877.

The spigot pipes and fittings, their couplings and accessories comply with EN 877 standard and respective quality marks with specific testing requirements.

The rubber gaskets of the couplings are in compliance with EN 877.The system components can be acquired from another manufacturer that manufactures according to the same compliant standards (EN 877).

The quality of product ranges is guaranteed by quality marks: Marque NF, RAL-GEG, Kitemark, Sintef, Gost, Q+, Watermark.

Pipes should have the following markings: product name (GLOBAL S), standard conformity (EN 877), CE marking, reaction to fire classification, compliance with the DIN EN standard, compliance with the RAL-GEG mark, pipe size.

Fittings should have a label identifying: the brand, product name, standard conformity, CE marking, reaction to fire classification, compliance with the DIN EN standard, compliance with the RAL-GEG mark, quality marks.

Pipes should have the following markings: product name (GLOBAL PLUS), standard conformity (EN 877), CE marking, reaction to fire classification, compliance with the DIN EN standard, compliance with the RAL-GEG mark, pipe size.

Fittings should have a label identifying: the brand, product name, standard conformity, CE marking, reaction to fire classification, compliance with the DIN EN standard, compliance with the RAL-GEG mark, quality marks.

4. Dimensioning

The networks will be dimensioned according to the standards in force.

The maximum rainfall intensity is fixed by law at the value of 3 l/min.m² = 180 mm/h = 0.05 l/s.m². It conditions the quantity of water to be evacuated by the considered pipe. On this point, the requirements are specified in the standard DTU 60.11.

In the description will be included all the connections, access plugs, tees of visit, and parts of connection necessary to the installation.

5. Type of cast iron

The cast iron waterfalls, type GLOBAL S or equivalent, will collect the rainwater from the roof drains to the manholes or expectations.

The low collectors will be made of Cast Iron type GLOBAL S or equivalent. If the pipes are buried, the GLOBAL PLUS type range or equivalent must be used.

6. Pipe and fitting coatings

The inner coating of the pipes: two component ochre colored epoxy coating, average dry film thickness of 70 μm.

External coating of the pipes: Red-brown, acrylic primer paint, average dry film thickness 40 μm.

Fittings: Externally and internally coated in red epoxy to an average thickness of 70 μm. Fittings and accessories are coated with an epoxy resin deposited by cataphoresis (optimised process by PAM Building) which ensures a uniform deposit and excellent covering of edges. According to the standard requirement, the internal coatings can withstand hot water at 95°C for 24 hours and withstand fluids between pH 2-12 for 30 days, without losing their properties. Salt spray resistance internal coating: more than 350 h. Thermal cycle resistance: 1500 cycles between 15°C and 93°C.

7. Fire reaction classification

The networks (pipes and fittings) for the evacuation of collected effluents will be of a metallic type and must have a non-combustibility rating according to the EN 13501-1 standard. The entire system of pipes and fittings should be rated A1.

For any required fire-resistance ratings, the contractor should refer to systems recommended by the manufacturer that have a valid certificate issued by an accredited third-party laboratory, in accordance with the EN 877 standard.

8. Network fixing

The fixing will be determined according to the rules in force.

9. Sustainability

The materials must meet the requirements of the circular economy. The networks must be produced with a minimum of 90% recycled content and must be 100% recyclable at the end of their life through an appropriate and existing recycling stream.
