Become an Advanced Practice Nurse The hybrid program at Saint Mary’s College combines online learning with one weekend experience on campus each term. You’ll choose from three dynamic program tracks, which prepares you to work as a qualified nurse practitioner, providing exceptional patient care, while leading others in the profession. Saint Mary’s provides you with the tools and confidence needed to be at the top of your field and to become an agent of change.

Degree Details • 12 semesters over four years (includes 4 summer terms) • DNP degree program available in 3 different tracks: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AG-ACNP) Adult-Gerontology Primary Care (AG-PCNP) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) • Primarily online program • 1,000 supervised clinical practice hours • A capstone practice innovation project, which includes a scholarly paper and oral presentation • Eligible for certification as a nurse practitioner

Synthesize and apply scientific evidence for the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical interventions for advanced nursing practice.

Provide advanced evidence-based clinical care within a collaborative, cultural and spiritual context for individuals, families and/or populations.

Advocate for social justice, equity, and ethical policies in health systems, population health initiatives, and evidence-based health policy initiatives through collaboration with other health professionals and stakeholders.

Application Requirements A BSN degree from a nationally accredited (NLN or CCNE) institution.

Competitive candidates will have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in undergraduate coursework Unencumbered RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in the state where clinical course work hours will be completed Substantive personal statement that reflects your desire to pursue a specific DNP track Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions and a current resume 3 letters of recommendation from academic/other professionals (At least ONE letter must be from faculty) Doctor of Nursing Practice
