The Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology program at Saint Mary’s College is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. This is a “pre-accreditation” status with the CAA, awarded to developing or emerging programs for a maximum period of five years.

Application Requirements New cohorts begin each fall semester. Saint Mary’s College uses the Communication Sciences and Disorders Central Application Service (CSDCAS). Requirements include: • Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution; the most competitive candidates will have a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA or higher • Successful completion of an undergraduate communication sciences and disorders major or completion of the following prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology of the Speech and Hearing Mechanism Aural Rehabilitation Introduction to Audiology Language Development Phonetics Speech & Hearing Sciences Statistics At least one course in the behavioral sciences At least one course in the biological sciences At least one course in the physical sciences • Official transcripts from every college or university attended • G RE scores (Only scores sent to 6970, our school code for this program, will be accepted) • Three letters of recommendation • Personal statement • Video Interview Detailed application and admission information can be found at grad.saintmarys.edu/MSSP, including further guidelines about the personal statement, video interview, and letters of recommendation. Students interested in becoming a speech language pathologist focusing on clients with autism may wish to consider a dual degree with our Master of Autism Studies program.
