Parish Social Ministry

“And He departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find Him. For He departed, and behold, He is here” – St. Augustine

May the joyful news of Christ’s resurrection bring peace to you and your loved ones. Blessed Easter from the Office of St. Mary’s Parish Social Ministry

The Office of Parish Social Ministry would like to thank everyone who participated in the Easter candy drive. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated!

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Today as we celebrate the feast of Easter, we find the challenge of also seeing and believing the resurrection that comes through our own lives of self-sacrifice. It is then that we are truly Easter people! As you place your gift in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box, know that you are a sign of God’s love to those who are suffering, and you give them Easter hope and joy.

Our St. Vincent de Paul Conference is able to help our neighbors in need through the generosity of our St. Mary’s parishioners. Each time you donate, either through the collection slots at the doors of the church, or in an envelope marked for St. Vincent de Paul, you are helping our neighbors within St. Mary’s Parish. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, contact the St. Vincent de Paul Society at 516-627-0385, ext. 1125, or email SVDP@stmary.ws. To donate furniture, clothing or household items, please call the store in Garden City Park at 516-746-8250. Thank you for your continued support.
