PART-TIME SOCIAL WORKER – Residential Services Program

Work Schedule: 10 hrs. per week - flexible.

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to be part of our clinical team supporting DD residences located in Nassau and Western Suffolk. In this part-time role, reporting to the Behavioral Services Coordinator, and as a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker will conduct individual and group counseling, offer recommendations for residents to achieve their personal goals and provide staff training and oversight regarding positive behavior changes.

Requirements:

A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) or Social Work (LMSW); LCSW preferred. 2-5 years’ experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities, including counseling and treatment planning.

Valid NYS Driver’s License and ability to travel locally to group homes in relatively close geographic proximity. Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule to meet program needs; must be available for some afternoon and/or evening hours.

Budget and Claims Analyst – Finance Department – Hicksville, NY

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Description:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Budget and Claims Analyst will be responsible for the budget preparation and review of claims to be submitted to funders while ensuring contract compliance. Responsibilities:

Review monthly claims for submission to funder, analyze disallowances and resubmit for payment. Prepare agency administration claims quarterly for submission to funder.

Communicate with funding authorities and internal program management regarding program reimbursement procedures, answering questions and/or providing information.

Coordinate program month-end closings including review of monthly journal entries, prepare month-end account analysis, and integrate program financials into Agency financial software. Review program vouchers and cash receipts, and approve for processing. Coordinate other periodic reports for programs as required including completing financial information for audits when necessary.

Supervise two finance personnel on a daily basis. Provide training, coaching, counseling, and conduct performance appraisals.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree; Accounting preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years prior related experience in budget preparation or accounting.

1-2 years’ supervisory experience, preferred. Public accounting experience preferred.
