TCTD CHEMIO
A Product by Tata Centre for Technology and Deisgn, IIT Bombay, Powai Campus, Mumbai
Description - I did the visual design for the playing card based game named “ TCTD CHEMIO” which is inspired from the periodic Table and the major target audience were the seventh to eighth standard age students that is around 10-12 years of age but also can be played by other age of peoples too. For that 58 cards were suppose to made and of three different set of cards – first set consists of Atomic Number, Atomic Mass, Valency, Symbol, Name, Illustration Image, and information (Facts) – from 1 to 30 atomic numbers; second set consists of four blank cards and the third set consists of 10 different legends image in chemistry with name and information and that set is used as wild cards. I did layout design for the cards and made 30 different illustrations inspiring from each products from each elements from 1 to 30 atomic number in the periodic table, for example, for Lithium – made illustration of Battery as it consist lithium in -3 it. And for a cards different color is used. For every cards for the set 1 that consist cards from periodic number 1 to 30, the color are inspired by their characterisics. And, Finally the designs and game are ready to go live in the market as the first product from tata centre to come live in the market.

Dmitri Mendeleyev Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev; 8 February 1834 – 2 February 1907 O.S. 27 January 1834 – 20 January 1907) was a Russian chemist and inventor. He formulated the Periodic Law, created his own version of the periodic table of elements, and used it to correct the properties of some already discovered elements and also to predict the properties of eight elements yet to be discovered. Contribution - The modern Periodic Table is based on Mendeleyev.

Ernest Rutherford Ernest Rutherford, 1st Baron Rutherford of Nelson, OM, FRS (30 August 1871 – 19 October 1937) was a New Zealand-born British physicist who became known as the father of nuclear physics.[2] Encyclopædia Britannica considers him to be the greatest experimentalist since Michael Faraday (1791–1867). Contribution - The terms ‘alpha’ and ‘beta’ in radioactive materials were proposed by him.

Werner Heisenberg Werner Karl Heisenberg ; 5 December 1901 – 1 February 1976) was a German theoretical physicist and one of the key pioneers of quantum mechanics. He published his work in 1925 in a breakthrough paper. In the subsequent series of papers with Max Born and Pascual Jordan, during the same year, this matrix formulation of quantum mechanics was substantially elaborated. In 1927 he published his uncertainty principle, upon which he built his philosophy and for which he is best known. Heisenberg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for 1932 "for the creation of quantum mechanics". Contribution - Proposed the principle of uncertainty of particles.

Bohr was also a philosopher and a promoter of scientiďŹ c research. Contribution - Electronic orbitals.

Marie Curie Marie Skłodowska-Curie ; 7 November 1867 – 4 July 1934) was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win twice in multiple sciences, and was part of the Curie family legacy of five Nobel Prizes. She was also the first woman to become a professor at the University of Paris, and in 1995 became the first woman to be entombed on her own merits in the Panthéon in Paris. Contribution - Conceptualized the term ‘radioactivity’.

Antoine Lavoisier Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier (also Antoine Lavoisier after the French Revolution; 26 August 1743 – 8 May 1794; was a French nobleman and chemist central to the 18th-century chemical revolution and a large influence on both the history of chemistry and the history of biology. He is widely considered in popular literature as the "father of modern chemistry". This label, however, is more a product of Lavoisier's eminent skill as a self-promoter and underplays his dependence on the instruments, experiments, and ideas of other chemists. Contribution - Discovered that water is made of oxygen and hydrogen.

Amedeo Avogadro Lorenzo Romano Amedeo Carlo Avogadro di Quaregna e di Cerreto, Count of Quaregna and Cerreto (9 August 1776, Turin, Piedmont-Sardinia – 9 July 1856), was an Italian scientist. He is most noted for his contributions to molecular theory, including what is known as Avogadro's law. In tribute to him, the number of elementary entities (atoms, molecules, ions or other particles) in 1 mole of a substance, 23 6.02214179(30)×10 , is known as the Avogadro constant, one of the seven SI base units and represented by NA. Contribution - Hypothesized that equal volumes of gases contain equal number.

Fritz Haber Fritz Haber ; 9 December 1868 – 29 January 1934) was a German chemist who received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1918 for his invention of the Haber-Bosch process, the method used in industry to synthesize ammonia from nitrogen and hydrogen gases. This invention is of importance for the large-scale synthesis of fertilizers and explosives. The food production for half the world's current population depends on this method for producing nitrogen fertilizers. Haber, along with Max Born, proposed the Born–Haber cycle as a method for evaluating the lattice energy of an ionic solid. Haber is also considered the "father of chemical warfare" for his years of pioneering work developing and weaponizing chlorine and other poisonous gases during World War I, especially his actions during the Second Battle of Ypres. Contribution - Nobel Laurate (1918) - Father of Chemical Warfare.

August Kekule Friedrich August Kekulé, later Friedrich August Kekule von Stradonitz (7 September 1829 – 13 July 1896) was a German organic chemist. From the 1850s until his death, Kekulé was one of the most prominent chemists in Europe, especially in theoretical chemistry. He was the principal founder of the theory of chemical structure. Contribution - Conceptualized the structure of benzene.
