Saladin Q. Allah is an Author, Youth Advocate and Niagara Falls Human Rights Commissioner who attended Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio; a Historically Black College and University [HBCU]. He has over two decades of journalist, community outreach and youth advocacy experience and is the great-great-great grandson of Underground Railroad Forerunner, Community Activist and Institution Builder Josiah Henson, whom Harriet Beecher Stowe used as a model for the famous novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. During his experience as a journalist, Saladin’s social commentary has been published in print and online in a wide range of publications and websites worldwide. His niche website A.S.I.A., where he writes bimonthly articles, has achieved a #1 Google page ranking and a peak global web traffic of 119,874 visitors per month. Saladin has written over three hundred articles and published sixteen books. As a Creative Artist he has performed Hip Hop, Poetry and Spoken Word at various venues and produced/recorded 4 full length albums; Brothers From Another Planet, The Emerald Tablet, Kontact and Tapestry of Love. In 2011 A.S.I.A. was ranked one of the Top 100 Websites by United Black America Online. In 2014 he was globally cited as a subject matter expert on Hip Hop Artist Jay-Z’s cultural affiliations and in 2015 he founded and hosts Atlantis Build Talk Radio; a unique blend of informed commentary, music and interviews about the science of everything in life. As a community organizer and youth advocate for twenty years, Saladin has worked as program consultant for a History Channel Series Gangland episode ‘The Hidden Valley Kings’ and has created numerous projects, programs and initiatives that support the positive growth and development of youth and families worldwide. Saladin is currently a Commissioner for the City of Niagara Falls Human’s Rights Commission, a Resident Leader for the ReNu Niagara Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative, a Highland Community Revitalization Committee Board Member, Black Pioneers of Niagara Falls Board Member, Senior Program Facilitator and Parent Advocate for the STYA {Successfully Transitioning Youth to Adolescence} Program and a Preschool Teacher for the Niagara Falls Housing Authority’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program.
