Flux is a behavioural unit-based space-system that aims to achieve specifics of the needs of any context at the given time. The features of the space are based on the event, reason of use and user, and time-based environmental conditions. The proposal is a contemporary interpretation of spaceframe which challenges the existing model by introducing flexibility to the system with transformative, autonomous, hybrid units. Rule-based organization between these agents(units), enables it to become a generative structural volumetric framing strategy. Material behaviour is the core of all performance and function of the unit. The variety of rigidity levels helps the system continue its ‘soft’ features. It can morph, and change, it can stay and keep static.
The new architectural model learns, adapts, survives and functions.
